Hey, this looks familiar! Started the same kit last week, although the plastic has a different colour. The one I am building is the 3rd series. I will do a full oob build. Just altered the wheel mounts so it looks as if it can steer (4 wheel steering activated) I hope mine will turn out as good as yours does.

Thanks... It is no shake and bake kit, nor a weekend kit.. Yet it looks terrific. My only wonder is the engine. Specially if you look at LanMo engine:

Specially if you look at LanMo engine: Yeah the engine is a bit off, the trans, radiator and transfer case are all correct. Unless you have the engine completely out of the vehicle it looks the part good enough

I think I will keep the engine compartment closed up: my intention is to show the vehicle disabled by a hit in the front or side by a 25 mm French anti tank gun. Enough to have it stopped, but not burned out or something like that.

I Got the 222 Hanging now. I ended up using a acrylic rod. Few things left to do, assembl and paint the figures, make some crates, and weather the dock. Also added a stain to the back Thanks for looking in! Skol!

Great solution to the "how to hang it" problem. It looks fantastic. This is a unique display and it's so well done.

I got the figures assembled and marked out where I want them on the base. A buddy had mentioned that I should make a mooring bollard that can be seen in several reference photos, so I scratch built and weathered on and it's possibly the most detailed bit of the entire diorama for such a tiny background part. Thanks for looking in! Skol!

Man, nice job on that bollard! The whole idea is really coming together. Looks like you can see the finish line from here!

Ok I have to know how you achieved the look on the bollard. It looks absolutely brilliant! Thank you everyone! The way I made this was completely winging it lol. I started with a 5/16 styrene tube. I added two pieces of .4mm styrene sheet to the top and shaped, one piece of .4mm styrene sheet to the bottom. Added some 1/35 scale bolts with threads that I 3d printed to the corners. To give it some texture and blend everything together I mixed some Tamiya extra thin with Tamiya grey putty and stippled it all over making sure to fill and little gaps with it while also giving it a cast texture. Airbrushed it Tamiya flat black. Then I used some vallejo elements textures dark rust, randomly doted some on with a paint brush then came back in immediately with a dry square brush and stippled it into the surface. Once that was dry I did the same thing with Vallejo orange brown acrylic paint. Then mixed in some vallejo sunny skin tone into the orange brown and repeated. Last step I added AK winter streaking grime that's a nice nasty green color to the corners and around the bolts to show algae growth
