Hahah! Thank you, gents. I was away. Now I am back briefly. I may away again. Rome. I may be there soon. I keep hearing the ending speech Redford's character "Turner" gives to Von Sydow's character "Joubert" in "Three Days of the Condor" when Joubert tries to sell Turner on moving to Europe to be a freelance assassin. Turner says "I was born here, Joubert... in the United States. I miss it when I'm away too long." I'm still working on this project because I love the Starship Enterprise. I am currently building the forms for the outer doors after sanding off the ridge lines on the saucer top. Some of these things I have had to do late at night. I apologize for not documenting. Schematic from Carlos I believe -- From the first restoration --

It’s always a good day when you join us Bruce!! I hope you’re doing well. Glad you’re still on this enterprise too. One of my favorite ongoing builds that I’m following.

Bruce it's always a thrill to see you return! I miss you every time you leave for awhile; I feel I never get enough time with you on these boards. Your Enterprise is looking great; it's one of the Threads I enjoy reading the most!

kyle/handibrent/dukemark: thanks gents thank you so much I wanted to mention that the photo of the Millenium Falcon and X-Wing were from an installation at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. Anyone who loves films should check that place out. So so so I have made two attempts so far to recreate the hanger doors based on what I'm seeing here. This is the big E model! Both my attempts failed or close enough but not good enough!

Shoot. I wouldn’t even know where to begin with those doors. I have no doubt that you can get the hangar doors to a point you’re happy with them.
