I really love all the detail you’ve been packing into this build from the start. It’s all paying off nicely. That engine compartment is looking great.

You are doing a great job balancing detail throughout this entire build. The engine compartment is coming along great!

Thank you Kyle Thank you Joe. When I started it, I wanted details, but somewhere, I went waaaaay down the rabbit hole. I know that feeling aaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllll too well brutha. My 113 piece Jo-Han Maverick interior: That shifter would have caused nightmares for me. I thought I was bad with over 40 pieces in interior. By the way, where did you find the fuel pressure gauge on the cowl? I can’t locate one anywhere. Thank you Kyle Thank you Joe. Thank you Joe, Kyle, Brent. After many x-rays, MRI, neurosurgeon visits, 2 days of tornado warnings( one actually hit 400 feet from my house), I decided to get back at it again. I now believe I have the under hood finished( for now ha ha). I made hoses from solder and heat shrink, made the spring type clamps from 26 ha. wire. I wired starter, ground to block, made throttle cable bracket, return spring from 32ga. wire, throttle cable. I plumbed fuel lines from tank to cool can, made fuel pressure regulator and plumbed from cool can. I made fuel lines from regulator to carb from styrene rod and braided line/ hose from Ted’s Model marketplace, same with nitrous lines from tank to solenoid and fuel pressure regulator to solenoid. I made brake lines from master to metering valve. Mopar orange ignition box, Accel super coil , cool can are from VCG Resins. Nitrous parts from Neffy’s Customs. I also fabbed the ballast resistor and starter solenoid. I also started the hood pins, but may just glue the parts to hood, as lining up 4 pins this small on a lift off hood might not work well.

Glad your good after a close one like that. Had one pass my brothers and I when we were outside by a half a city block. Not something I would want to repeat. Your detail work under the hood is sensational! You haven't missed a beat with this build!

Wow Rich!! Sounds like you’ve had quite a time of it!! Hope everything is all well with you. And another great update. This has been such fun to follow along with the whole build. Yes Kyle, quite a time! Luckily, no one was hurt. NWS said it was EF-1, it tore roofs off a couple garages, relocated a shed, destroyed a carport, etc. As for me, not so good, need another spinal fusion, barely been able to stand, sleep. Thank you for the kind words on my everlasting build. Dude.......that engine bay is frickin' SICK!! The only thing you may have forgotten was to put oil in the dang thing!! This is some really..... .really .....impressive work Rich! BTW.....sounds like you've been through the wringer in the past couple of days and then you had a tornado that close. That is NUTS!! Glad to hear that you are ok bud. Thank you Joe. I knew going in to this build that I was going to put a bunch of details in from the minute I cut the trunk out. I figure now that I can get it out of my system by pretty much loading it up. I really want to get it finished up, so I can get on to my big scale stuff. My 1/8 Lotus really wants to hit the bench. And thank you again for the well wishes. Wow that engine bay..... Glad to see Helene didn't damage anything. Storm missed here but hit North Florida bad Thank you TJ. Glad Helene didn’t get me also. For a few of my neighbors, they can’t say the same. Zeta got me 3 years ago, tore up my pool fence, tore my inground pool liner, destroyed a $5000 French casement window. I was lucky. I truly feel sorry for all the victims of Helene. Over 60 dead now, it left a serious path of damage. They are still searching for people the last I heard in Western NC, the flooding was unbelievable. Glad you’re good after a close one like that. Had one pass my brothers and I when we were outside by a half a city block. Not something I would want to repeat. Your detail work under the hood is sensational! You haven't missed a beat with this build! Thank you Brent. It was scary indeed. Thank you for the kind comments on the build also. Now, on to the undercarriage!

Installed rear bumper, scratch built fuel pumps, fuel filter, driveshaft safety hoop. Next up is plumbing from tank to pumps, filter, then on to backing plates.
