Hi Ossie Nice progress. Having recently finished this build there is a step coming up to you that is catching a few builders out. One construction fix which was pointed out to me by a fellow modeller, involves the two strengthening ribs (parts D13 & D14) You are instructed to add these to the undersides of the gun box in step 13. What they do in essence, is create a channel which allows the gun box to align squarely onto both of the thin lower hull side plates. There are alignment cut-outs but it is all too easy to fix them a fraction off without realising, and that channel will become too narrow, and the gun box will not sit down as it should onto the hull sides. To remedy this potential fit issue, you just need to attach the parts D13 & D14 directly to the lower hull instead. There are alignment slots in the lower hull side plates too, so it’s a really simple fix. Los +1 Karma for sharing this! Thank you!

Hi los thank you for the advice. I have been following panzermisters build on you tube also the comments on my post in missing links . which version did you build ALLKET or Maig ossie Hi Ossie As you know, although there is pretty much 99% of the parts in the box to build the Miag variant, following the kit instructions builds up an Alkett vehicle, so that is what I went for. With the advice we both received over on ML I've addresses the few shortcomings and am thinking of adding both a metal rain cover over the mantlet opening and the additional armour covers for both the driver and loader. Currently building up a set of 3D tracks from Panzerwerk

Ossie
Sorry completely missed this in the business of life! That's coming on nicely but rather you than me when it comes to an interior. Really looking forward to seeing this come togther. I've recently acquired a couple of RFM kits, so will try to follow this.

Hi all So following from panzermisters build sequence I have built the main superstructure and about to add it all to the hull along with the track guards . Losboz I have got a set of type 6 track from RFM. So once the body and track guards are on I will start the build from the beginning where I left off., in these images the superstructure has been placed on th3 body and the roof placed in to confirm fit. Hi everyone So I have decided to put the superstructure on has in the model plans les D13 and 14 . By adding the track guards to the superstructure. Must say they fitted like a dream on the superstructure I added the superstructure with track guards to the hull then added D13 and 14 and they fitted perfectly The pencil points to D13 and D14 Ok now I have added the wheels just for fun and added the loose top again for fun Hope you liking it so far ossie

Ok back again Tracks the kit tracks are the early version and could have been used for my period of build and they seem they have. I have chosen a later style track this has ridges on the knife edge or spud on the track so that’s next job clean track up and assemble them Ossie

Ok last post till I done the track so this is just information for you all. The kit comes with 3 types of gun mantel from welded to pigs head with or with out coax mine would have a coax due to being a Dec 44 build. There is three types of track guards mkiii gun tank and a MAIG set Finally You could build a late Stug based on a converted mkiii hull. And yes everything you need is in the box. Hope this helps Ossie

Sorry about not commenting on your build earlier today Ossie. This is coming along quite well so far with the refit and assembly of everything. These armor builds of yours are really first class stuff bud.

Hi Deafpanzer My tracks are fragile and remind me of T-Rex Studio tracks are a lot more fragile . But so far I managed a couple of hrs today to do this lot but shows how moveable they are. There is a right and wrong way Love the tracks are so movable Ossie

I've just built up these very tracks to use as a comparison against a host of purely aftermarket tracks and they compare very favourably. I use quite a few Pz. III/IV types. See Comparing aftermarket tracks to see who I thought came out on top.

Hi losboz
Compared to T-Rex these are a dream to build issue with those if unpainted they become very brittle and break to easy. Flui I use sewing pins where I can instead of the wire, master club made my own pins there never fitted and hate snap together never stay together. so these are a dream Ossie
