Hello fellas, ER, Though id give my left nert to see that, i dont figure that will happen anytime soon.....ay Nemo??? He does have a valid point on the "NO WINGIES" policy. ;D Thanks guys! Gary well, he can't stick out of it forever...we made a deal...he does a wingy when I do modern armor...who could have guessed I was going to do a Merk this year, so...at least next year he should start one, otherwise it's the risk of capital punishment! ;D pitty you're having some issues in the end...still looking forward to the endshots some day ^^ Cheers

Gary, You’ve done an outstanding job on this oldie kit, and with all of the issues that you encountered along the way you managed well and learned a few new things too. I can sympathize with you on the canopy fit problem you’ve encountered as that is where the viewer will focus on, because this is where we would be seated if we were piloting this craft! TIP: I have run into this type of fit issue on past wingy things I’ve built and found that using Testors clear parts fixer and window maker works to close these gaps. I build it up in layers and allow it to dry and then with a dampened ear swab I begin the slow process of removing and shaping the clear cement. Once your finished with this process you can give it a light coat of Future and paint over the area. Try this on some scrap parts to gain some experience with this medium. Hope this helps,

Hey Wouts, If your gonna venture out to tha modern stuff - ya picked a good-un! But i wouldnt hold your breath waitin' on a Nemo-wingy antime soon....though it'd be a real treat to see. Hey brother Eddy, great to have you stop in my friend. The testors clear parts fixer....could you explain a bit more on that? My nephew thinks i need to get a vacum formed canopy but i cant find one for a Revell...not that i could buy it anyways. ;D Thanks fellas, Gary

Hiya Gary, know how you feel buddy, it's a right pain when clear parts don't fit. Not an easy fix at this stage either! You may have to build up the fuse to meet the clear parts, which means a repaint A vac form would be better as you can cut it to 'over'-size. You don't need to buy one, just fill the kit parts with blue-tac , find suitable clear plastic food containers , I use the ones tomatoes come in over here, and cut out a flat bit larger than the parts. Then heat it gently over a stove and just as it sags, push it over the kit parts and , after a bit of practise and swearing..... New canopy .... Honest Thinking about it the ASU sounds a real good plan ;D ;D ;D

Oh Gary, I see where I may have added a bit of confusion to what I posted above concerning Testors Clear Parts Fixer and Window Maker.
The ‘clear cement’ in the sentence I posted above ‘is’ the Testors product. Sorry about that, hope this clears things up, hihi! ;D

Jeez, you are serious it is your first wingy build? I am really having difficult times believing you! LOL Stunning work on the Spit like a work of a master. Now I am thinking about taking one of my wingy kits out and look at it. Yep, I have two but they both are in 1/35 scale.

WOW...thanks you guys...your all very kind. Im very happy the way it turned out...with the excetion of that darn canopy, but i wont be so hesitant to build the next one in the future. The next will be Hasegawa's Bf109 G2, but it will be a long time before it gets built as ive alot pre planned for next year. Thanks fellas, Gary
