I know what you mean Chris, some of these will have been giving Stirling service in '82. At least there's a couple at the FAA museum, in fact I think they use one for their carrier flight deck experience , it stinks of skydrol and shakes like a washing machine Recommended day out

Quick update, a bit later than I'd wanted but that's the run up to Chrimbo for ya Added bulkheads from stock sheet. These will form the panels that the rotor-head and gearbox will mount on. Gotta scratch these somehow They also roof the cabin. Stated to add some detail using brass from the spares box. I've a fair bit of this as I've always given up using it and thrown the rest in the box at the tail end, I've started to add some detail too . Again the spares box was raided Thanks for stopping by ACW

Hi all, MrT , plugging is about right ... I've filled lots of gaps ready to drill them out again in a different place kits based on a Sikorsky S58 and is not a true Wessex. Close enough for me to add and leave off what I need but making her into a full in service HS3 would be a nightmare Wouter, yep this bird is slaughtered ready for Xmas '57, no lame questions just stupid answers from me ;D , it's based on a reference but with a LOT of artistic license ChrisS ,thanks buddy, I'll do my best with her Boots, cheers mate, I will be in touch when I get to paint the more it look at the pic the more nervous I feel about it!

Stevem,
Great subject and should look great with all the internals exposed. Am very fond of the Wessex, first chopper I ever flew in. Dam slow and noisey but plenty of room and it always brough you home.
Looking forward to next update.
