Hi All Sry jackwagon i would assume if you have bought the starter kit it will be the same, there was only enough silicone to make one mold so it looks like ill have to buy more Well these are the pics of the finished bust, and im rather pleased with it, even if i say so myself, there are a couple of bit to tidy up but hes ready for making the molds now. im contemplating making one mold with the torso, left arm and the coif as one, i cant see the need to separate them So this will now be dismantled and made ready to make the molds. im probably going to make another mold of the right arm and see if i get a better result. I must admit i didnt envisage the cost of making the molds to be as expensive as it is, i can see why some models cost a packet all for now Paul

Hi all Many many thanks for all of you that have tuned in and the great comments and encouragement from you all ...........I am going to wait and see what the interest in this is before i fork out for the cost of the silicone and resin to cast it. Although Ive had some interest, at the moment it would make it prohibitive to reproduce it and sell it for a reasonable price. If it doesn't pan out ill paint this one and try again with something different. I have thoroughly enjoyed this sculpt and will hopefully move on to better. Paul

Hi Frank many thanks for your remarks and observations. As i have said before i would love to cast this bust but hadnt figured on the cost of the materials to get started. its something that im still considering but it will ultimately depend on the demand for the bust......................As to the next project, im thinking of euro this year but i also have a George and the dragon viginette to finish, the dragon has been sculpted and painted and then been stolen by my wife , love her to bits and now sits on the mantle piece in the living room, i also have a commision to do, another dragon on a larger scale, it will be approx 350mm tall so that might get started soon, busy, busy, busy. and in between i have to fit in work, family and the gym. just your average day to day really ;D Paul

Hi All Thanks to all of you that have tuned in, and as they say on the box "theres more to come" i had had a company that was interested in marketing this bust, However with the economic climate at the moment and with the other commitments they have, they cant do it at present So im just going to leave this as it is and paint it ;D. feels like forever since i painted, so i started with the face as usual, do to the precise and brilliant sculpting it started out well, i primed then base coated and then did the eyes in acrylics. when they were dry a coat of gloss varnish was added. the face was then started in oils and on the left side i have started with the shading much more to do Paul

caught up on the other side of the face and blocked the hair in. although his hair was black, ive done it with a touch of brown in as well. the face just needs the high and lowlights pushing a bit more and a few more bits of dry brushing on the hair and then it will be complete All for now Paul

Hi Frank I know what you mean about NMM, i still dont know if i like this yet. I am waiting for it to dry before i add some more highlights, i may even speck some enamel gold on it, who knows. the red is mixed with some blue and on the darker shades some burnt umber.

Hi all Added more hightlights and lowlights and im much happier with this.................jackwagon i think your right, i didnt want to use gold i am trying to make it look a bit old and not the just new effect Still a bit shiny because the paint is wet, and my photo skills dont do it justice.............................i must get some pic taking lessons .............but looking much better Paul
