Wouter- My Tiggy brother! Holy smokes! You are almost done with it already... it really looks good! Believe me you have made me very curious about the foil technique.
Paul- That was a great picture... thanks for posting!

Folks just to clarify- the pics I posted are from the Osprey Modelling the T-55 and the idea is from either Graham Davidson or Nick Cortese (can't remeber which and not near the volume at the mo) P

Hi Paul, thanks for that post . I must say I found the hardest part is to form to foil neatly around the template Joe: they stated that it would brake at a place where the tension is the hardest: around the sprockets. But hey, who cares ey Fellas, thanks for the great replies, and Spud, thanks for the advice mate ^^ well, I can say that the T-62 is finished buildwise now and up for paint Cheers

looks good to me.
seems to me that anything man made can break. it may be a rare event but to me a track could come apart at any point where two sections meet. just would take the right situation or circumstance. i dont think having the break there is out of the realm of possibility.

Love it so far Wouter. The damage is very realistic and will show up well when the paint flies.

Yeah, what he said!! ;D I'm incline to go with Joe on this one. Looks great....is plausible....Love it! Maybe it broke there cause it may have been hit by something....ohhhhh I don't know, may be a round?? Adds interest Wouts!! MMmmmm...PAINT........NEXT!!! BTW....#1 color done!!

A weak link will make a track break. Stress, tension on a turn will also 'throw' a track. I like it, adds some nice visual effects to an overall nice clean...wrecked build.

thanks again for the great support fellas, sure keeps me goin' well, thought it was finally time for some paint ey I gave the T-62 a coat of primer first, thinner Mr. Surfacer 1200 with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner. After that some very rough preshade using Tamiya Gloss Black...sprays very blotchy for some reason, it's the only Tamiya paint which does that...but luckily, it doesn't really matter! After that I started with the initial rust color. Since I don't have a Rust set I was going with what I have: in this case Vallejo Model Air Burnt Umber...I quite like that color! well, not finished by miles, but at least we're getting there Cheers
