Hiya Wouter, I'm not going to give any advice coz there's others here who know far more than I ever will on how to do a rusty AFV But I will say that your build is superb buddy rustystuff and paint look topdraw!

Hi Steve, thanks for the thumbs up mate. I made a little bit of progress the last two days. I went on with the two remaining colors of the AK rust set: Shadow Rust and Dark Rust...I applied them to the hull and turret using a spongue, tried to add it in shadowy areas. I also applied that chipping to the wheels, and I painted the rubber tyres using Vallejo Dark Rubber After that I continued adding filters...I used different filters on different areas to create some more interest, the effect is rather subtle after a two layer application... After that I added a pinwash on some areas, used AK Intereactives Streaking Grime for that...far from finished though That's it for today...might add a wash somewhere next week Cheers

Sweet stuff there Wouts!! Coloring is superb! As for the question just before the pics....yes! You can keep on adding to the effects , as much as you want from what you are looking at. It may seem at times that you are covering up other layers, which you are, but you are still creating layers and each one does show through even if you don't see it right off. Just remember less is more. You can always add more.

wow, so many great comments, it gave me a smile from ear to ear fellas ...Well, always nice to know you are heading in the right direction ^^ Guy, don't think I'm at that level I think, but thanks anyway I started with some pigments today...Initially I wanted to do some more filtering and washes, but suddenly I ended up already adding rust and smoke pigments I must say I'm quite pleased so far, especially on the turret, though there are still loads of work to do You might have noticed that the model is still shiny here and there...that's because I was going to fast and forgot to spray on a matt coat before I continued...figures ...So, before I continue with the pig work I'll be spraying on a matt coat first... Cheers
