Thx Smudge,
Sorry for the delay, I'm in the "Battle of the Goffers" right now before they wipe out my cherry and peach trees, the dang buggers. Ah, spring is coming fast, bunker time is at a premium. Updates soon.
Cheers, Ski.

Eyes will be redone with a 5 Oclock shadow to follow too. I'm still messing with the lighting on ,y paint bench, so this is a bit darker than it shoud be, but yall get the idea.

I'll see about pickin up some cheaper busts, all the same, so we can use for a learner, demo. Thx Leon and Dicky, greatly appreciated. More to follow soon. Cheers, Ski.

Thx Rob and thx for watching.
Soon I'll tackle that vinyl figure with no characteristic features whatsoever. This'll be a first for me, painting in facial features on a manikin. That will be interesting, with out a doubt.
Cheers, Ski.

Hey Bros, I've been working over the 5 O'clock shadow and lower eye lids and a few touch ups. Hollar is yall see anything that needs attention, I'm all ears. The slight pinkish tone on the lower eye lids, but I'm thinking the pupils are way too big. Comments Please! Subtle 5 O'clock shadow, what'd yall think? Please comments if ya see need for improvement. I'm ready to call it good, so hollar now, please. Thx for watchin Gents. Cheers, Ski.

Thx Leon, you're right about that. These eyes were giving me a pain in the hind quarter, but I think they are pretty close to done now. I redid the pupils and added some red-eye as well as darkened the beard area just a bit. Thx for watchin. Cheers, Ski. I still need minor touch-ups on the rims of the eyes which will be handled after it's completely dried.

Chris, Dicky, Thx Bros.
I recon I'm gonna have to back off the camera a bit next time, the mistakes are blarin me in the face every time I look at em now, lol. I started using a magnifier light/lens with my regular 2.75 reading glasses (used only for modeling) allowing me to see these tight spots with out any ambiguity. What a difference, but now I need to keep the brush sharp as a blade, no joke.
Call me late for super, but at 50 this stuff still ain't too hard to see or handle. I just need to get with the modern technological side of things, HA! Ya, the dinner bell rang hours ago, lol. I dano, a hood bothers me, so I may stick with what I got.
Thx for watching and thx for the compliments. Cheers, Ski.

So, you ain't too far behind, are ya?......Bahahahahahaha. Ya know, misery loves company Bro. Thx for the compliment me "Brother from another Mother". Cheers, Ski. P.S. Mr. Smudge; I'll be reworking the left eye a bit to ellipse the appearance a bit more. It appears too cylindrical, and after the eye trim maybe add a few "iridiological, (new term), features to spice up the intense stare. This is what happens when I spend too much time away from painting figures, I loose it, gotta relearn it. HA! Ya know what I mean Bro.

Thx Boots,
Ya, I'm gonna back off the camera a bit more, shows too many mistakes, lol. I donno, after seeing some of the latest bust work some of the guys are producing I see I have much more to learn and I've always been rather lazy with the eyes. Back to the bench we go.
Thx again Boots, Ski.

mistakes? where? for this novice at figures it looks incredible. joe Thx Joe, but I can be anal retenetive at times, HA! Looks like the garden is taking lead this week and possibly next week, so I'll try to sneak past the "Gate Guard" from time to time to start on the smock, etc. I did pick up another 200mm figure for this dio and I've got a bust on order to replace that manikin head. Man that thing is pathetic looking. Posting more when I can and thx for watchin. Cheers, Ski.

Howdy Gents, Well, spring has finally sprung up here in the Great White North, so the model bunker is now officially closed for the summer, unless of course I can sneak past the gate guard on occasion. Just how it goes livin in the boonies, hope all winter for summer time just to get ready for winter again, lol. At any rate, I did receive a new head for that pathetic vinyl figure, BMW rider, and I will start that reconfiguration when I can. I'm using Verlinden's 200mm bust kit #1317 "The Grunt, Vietnam" for the head change out. I did the full figure in my vignette "Iron Triangle", so I'm no stranger to this figure or it's features. Also pictured is the fourth figure I have decided to include in this fiasco. FightinJoe, this is the bust we will start painting in a few weeks or so buddy. You'll be a figure paintin fool by summers end Bro, lol. I'll post more updates if I can get em in between outside work and regular work. Cheers for now, Ski.
