WOW, thank you for the kind words fellas....I take you like this one eh. I think because it doesn't have rust on it is what you like......right. Still going at it with the weathering, by adding some streaking and dirt filter/ washes. Just to give you an idea of where this is heading here are a few pics. I've done some chipping but more will follow after some dirty stuff is added. Will try to give the tracks some paint tonight or tomorrow. This process will be repeated a couple of time to get depth with the layers. More to come.

As always your comments are very much appreciated. If there are any questions about the steps I've taken please let me know. In my haste to get the model done, the pics taken and uploaded...I forget to write what I've done.
T glad you like the deck bro. I'll bring this on Sat and will hopefully get it done this weekend..
I am going to switch the back ground to blue and will see how the pics look....I'm not too happy with them because they are not showing much of the weathering that's been done.

Truly inspirational!! I see depth coming out in the green now, which I think is the original green contrasting with the Nato Rainmarks paint. How do you know where to put the paint to make it look just right? Because you're a freakin genius!! In other words, I like it. ;D ;D ;D Cheers JT

Thanks Chris. yeah I think it's the contrasting color which helps. The W/W against the white backdrop didn't seem to work well no mater how much I changed the settings.

the AK DVD about winter weathering is a great tool. However, I think you nailed the art of winter weathering so far. I really love the result so far Rob. I also got the impression you used some 'colder' colors for the weathering, which makes it look even more convincing. Great work

Andrij...welcome to the forum.
Yep it was pointed out on ML that it was wrong. I really wanted to use a different one but it fell apart on me. These were the only decent ones I had. Do you think it would be ok to use a chalk or white pencil to add the missing word.

If you choose stencil, you give very diferent color and style, then you must kill this with diluted overspray. My choise is template and AB work, you have a open place. Will be very interested for the right side, which one have a scars. Hey Rob, you always can make dirt over slogan, do you?

Could I get away with putting it above on the one side and below on the other ?? I can get both one the forward small plate no problem. Just have to fu=igure the best way to apply it. Like Z said..

Rob if I were you, I'd go for adding it on the forward small plates. Andrij's first photo shows the missing word exactly on a similar spot. I'd cut out a mask and airbrush it.

Maybe we lost main point of this forum in ours comment? NO STRESS. Rob dont speak russian, and its not him fault be cause decal is non complete. Look on last word. Do you see cleary cyrilic N? Im Serb, and i know what is cyrilic, but this parol was probably very exotic for someone who make this decal. Again, lets coment and enjoy in a great work, not in false decal. Its not main point. Im not negative, i know you are all great guy, but we have pressure on Rob with this comment. Cheers

Right Z....don't need the stress right now. I started to try and make a stencil but it would ruin the weathering and also not match......so I am going to leave it the way it is as much as I hate too. If I worry too much about it then I am not having fun and the model will sit on the shelf and not get finished.

Not sure but I am not going to let it bug me anymore. Thought of this all day and almost said screw it , it'll get shelved. Really took the fun away when I was on a roll too

I needed to chime in here....got to see this up close and personal today....It is truly awesome!!! ;D Weather you like modulation or not, whitewash or not, 152's or not...on and on....you have to give it up to Rob!!! Step by step and build up after build up, he consistently amazes me with the depth that he pulls out of his builds! Great piece Boss!! (Think Ken drew a smiley face on the bottom tho!! )
