bj and Richard, thanks guys, this is just the base layer, today the turret was painted too. The wheels were done, and tomorrow I want to start with a slightly lighter tone to obtain more depth. Best regards ! G.

Guys, the wheels were given a satin gloss finish. Today lighter green tones were airbrushed on the hull so tomorrow a thin layer of satin gloss varnish can be applied. The gun mantlet cover and the tracks on the turret sides will be coloured and then : decal time ! Now the Comet has quite a light green appearance, washes and filters however will change a lot later on. I can hardly wait to start adding the washes... Here's a quick shot of the Comet so far : Best regards ! Guy.

Love the lighter shade of green Guy. I always go lighter and alter the color tones with filters and washes. Looking forward to the weathering phase.

Thank you all again guys ! The real fun can almost begin on my hobby desk. I reached my goals today : painting the gun mantlet cover, applying a satin gloss finish (heavily thinned Laquer thinner), adding decals (not entirely done...tomorrow !). Best regards ! G.

multicam, thank you and glad you like the green ! I personally prefer starting weathering from a light base color, now I can play more with other green shades. Thank you Rob, indeed, the future washes and filters will add more variation on a light green base. jackh, thanks ! johnt, yes, the following updates will be fun as the monotone appearance of the base green will dissapear. Wout, thanks mate. Btw Modelbouw@BE has its Ledendag and I signed in months ago, I'll give a demo on on of Rob's rusting technique too, and many people look forward to it. Dicky, that's great to hear my friend ! It gives me a boost for certain ! And I will need a boost too ! Now a small update : After decals were protected by a fine mist of Clear coat, it was time for a first weathering method. I applied the oil paint dot method (yellow ocre, white and emerald green). This softly breaks up the panels... The wheels were given different color filters. Now I have to wait and let things dry before I add a dirty wash combined with a pinwash. Best regards ! Armorguy.
