Just something I made up title and vehicle wise. I started this a bit ago when I bough a lot of KV's. My original plan was to mount the 88 on a PZ IV hull.....very boring now that there are so many out there. I have been working on this on the side along with the M26 and T-62. She got shelved when I started the M51 but now she's come back down.....time for fun. I haven't taken any pics of the yet because it was just a side project. Will take some pics when there is some thing of interest to see. Thought I'd get the thread going for the heck of it. Will get some pics in the next day or so. Stay tuned..

Hiya Spud, soon bro. Looking at the Dragon instructions ( 3in1 kit) , right off the bat in step 1 , you have choices to make. The kit supplies a styrene barrel and metal ones.....just have to decide which version I want. Then I can build a mount on the KV hull along with some form of ammo rack.

Sorry for going AWOL the past few days. I needed some time off away from the pc for life's priorities and to get a bit of bench time in between.
The KV 88 flak build is done and I hope to start some painting very soon. Just have to add a couple of small parts first.
Don't go too far.

Thanks Spud, yeah a few hours here and there but not as much as I hoped for. Had other more important things to do. But still not too bad for four days work. Hoping to slap some primer on this today ....but doubt if I get the time.

Sure do Spud. Managed to squeeze in an hour of priming this afternoon between prepping and making a sauce for 50 lbs of bottom rump beef. Will be roasting all day on Friday. Will squeeze in some base colors when I can. Haven't had time for good piccies yet.

Not quite the update I wanted to post but at least it's a WIP pic. OK like I mentioned in the beginning, the 88 was to be IV hull, but for reasons already mentioned, it got shelved. I had gotten as far as step 2 in the 88 instuctions. Basically had the barrel and breach done. Here is an early WIP pic of the gun on the KV hull. I have already started the priming and will get some base color on very soon. I need to charge the camera and take some new pics as well.

ok here are some WIP pics for starters, then I get the paint pics loaded. Since the 88 is a tall gun, and that the risk of trippng over the rear hatch or lifting lugs while trying to load one of those rounds is great. I decided to add a platform of sorts. The center are wooden planks and the side sections is screening, or grating. I also added a rack in the rear to carry ammo...or crew gear. Will get the paint pics edited and uploaded shortly.
