Me too Gary ;D
There's a couple of things that's not to clear on the instructions(nothing new for DML) as to just how they fit I have to figure out but other than that the fit had been excellent.
Later bud Tony

Hey tony you get sick of the other 4 spgs It's nice to see this one as I was thinking of getting it. If any one is wondering why it has wheels it was so the crew could take out the main gun and build up the cannon part... Kinda strange

Hey guys i've been here all along but i've been kinda quite worrying about my brothers health problems,he still not doing well at all. I've been at the bench trying to keep my mind busy with a rebuild and finish job for a overseas forum friend. He's a figure painter at heart and wanted to try building some armor for more latitude with his figures and got off on the wrong foot by getting in over his head with a truck load of AM. He didn't want to can the project having a lot of money wrapped up in it so he ask me if I would save his bacon with the building and he would do the painting which he can handle no doubt. It's the AFV Club Sturmtiger with a complete interior front to back. I drilled and hinged the engine deck doors so you can see the engine too. Mud flaps have working hinges as well. The PE fenders are finished but will leave those off for shipping as well as the shell lifting crane. No Spud I didn't get sick of the JP IVs there just wasn't enough room on the bench to weather them so while glue was curing I worked on small sub componets units for G.W. Pz.Kpfw.III/IV. With materials running low Hitler wanted a multi purpose unit to be developed, this one,the Grasshopper and I think the Pz.Sfl.IVb. They would serve as a weapons carrier, ammo carrier and recovery vehicle. The Grasshopper and the G.W.s gun could be unloaded and left in the field while they hauled ammo or went and picked up another gun. High Command was worried about these reducing much needed tank production and got the contracts cancelled just before the start of production. My part of the ST is about done and i'll return to the Jagdpanzer IVs. Thanks for looking in on me Tony

Good to see you've been keeping busy Tony, was thinking about you the other day and just assumed it was related to your brother's health. You're definitely racking up the model-karma with that ST, almost a shame to see it painted!

Greg this is the 'Grasshopper" The one i'm building was never tagged with a nickname. The Sturmtiger is not mine i'm just building it and the owner already has his own painting plans made. Thanks for thinking about me Bill. You're a good man Charlie Brown Tony

Howdy All Thanks for the well wishes. Monty had a bad seizure, went into a coma and couldn't breath on his own. He was transferred back to Memphis where they got him to come around and shorty thereafter he had another seizure but not as bad. They put him on an EEG to monitor his brain waves last night but I haven't received a report yet today. Anyway here's an update for you. This kit has over 750 parts, about 200 are indy tracks links and I think the rest are on the gun. Lower hull: DML forgot or over looked the left side. They failed to provide the jib pole stored there. Evergreen to the rescue: All the wheels are ready for paint too. That's All Folks ;D Tony

Wow Tony, I think you're right about that parts count looking at the details on the gun mount. This one's right your SPG alley, can't wait to see what you do with it.
Thoughts and prayers are with your brother and family as always.

My Brothers Up date
He's having seizures about every hour and they don't know why. Seizures have damaged the heart They've got him strapped down to the bed because he's pulling his tube out, trying to get out of the bed and raving out of his head.
Still touch and go and his wife has been told he might not get through this.
"Life's a bitch and then you die" Oh Well Thanks Bill

Nice work Tony. What I really wanna know is a.) how did you know that thingamajig was called a "jib pole"? and b.) What the h@#$ does one do with a "jib pole"? Sorry to hear about your brother. Wish you and your family the best in what must certainly be a hardly endurable time.

Hi All I added a few more bits today. With most of it just propped up it looks a little lopsided but you get the idea. See I told you it came with a few pieces of PE. Boys this is one more humdinger of a kit. Tony
