Very nice work Andy on the streaking effects! SO it was YOU that caused the windows to rattle at my house today...and here I thought it was just the model gods testing my resolve. Sorry to see the spill but it could've been worse...it could've been all over the model!

Bigjohn- What's wrong with the big one on the work bench? Maybe Rob will approve it because it has too much rust. LOL Glad you liked the rust streaks... thanks man! ;D MF72- Appreciate the nice words. More to come soon! Bill- Sorry about the window rattle! Heh Always good hearing from you buddy! Having a great process today... thanks to 2" of rain today and it is still raining. Applied thinned oil washes on the Pz and I will take pictures when it is completely dry.

Hey Andy, The streaking looks outstanding man!!! Great job. OOOPS!!! Been there done that. You can tell that the product is superior quality because of the excellent capilary action under the paint brush. ;D ;D Looks awesome buddy! Gary

Gary- Thanks!!! I wouldn't have done them better without AK interactive products. After watching Mig's workshop at AMPS National in Auburn I was so sold and I went out to buy as many as my wallet permitted. That's MIG and my sign language interpreter in the background... Wouter- I can tell you I spill something during every build. This time I said to myself wow no spill so far then BAM.. there goes AK Rust! At least I didn't spill any beer... it would have made me cry. LOL Thanks for stopping by!

Guys- Another update... weather has improved finally but not too nice to go out so more bench time today! I got this aftermarket antennas set from Armorscale because I broke the star antenna into three pieces. It had nice details at the bottom of antennas... three pieces per antenna. They are not attached permanently yet... will do after I am done with pigments because I would have knocked them off if I did. I have decided to keep all three antennas up so it will help remind everybody it had three instead of one or two because it is an unique command tank.

Antennae look sharp Andy! I agree on keeping all three up...might as well show them off.

I swear I posted my response here last time but where did it go? Spud, Wouter and Dicky- Thanks guys! Appreciate you tagging along... My brother-in-law is living with us TEMPORARILY so it cut down my bench time pretty much. Here's my update... Applied Dark Mud and Russian Earth MIG pigments... Most of tools are complete except for the barrel sweeper. I worked on the muffler... I wanted it to be heavily chipped with rust. First it was painted with MM Burnt Iron. Then sprayed AK Heavy Chipping... Airbrushed Dunkelgrau base and high light... Chipped paint off... it was so easy! Love AK products... Hopefully tomorrow I will apply Rust and Smoke pigments. Thanks for looking!

Just taken the time to look through your build and I must say it's superb, I especially love the paintwork on the model, it looks like it could rumble off the bench at any moment

Gary- Thanks my Texan buddy! I rock? No, you rule! LOL Alexander- Thanks... love those old imperial kits! Gonna look for more at upcoming shows. ;D Wouter- Thanks man! Figured because the muffler is bigger and very visible than typical Pz IIIs so it will receive special treatment. Glad you liked the tools. Base coat was MM Wood then I used W&N Raw Umber oil paint on the wood handles allowed to dry overnight. Then used stiff brush dampened with Mona Lisa Odorless Thinner (relatively weak) to wipe excessive oil paint off. Apply more oil paint if necessary. Learned that from a friend at other forum. Hope it helps... bigjohn- I figured I have a red neck friend who is very good auto mechanic so he could come to replace the muffler anytime, right? ;D Only two hours drive... LOL Thanks buddy! Robbo- Thanks mate! Just try to keep your Hurricane away from it because its no match...

snipersmudge- Missed your comment when I posted recently. Really appreciate you taking your time to read my thread. I have struggled with the color modulation until I switched to AK products... problem solved and I love them more than my wife's dogs. Thanks for dropping by and again welcome to MCS!

bigjohn- Beer is already ready for you if you ever visit. I am thinking about having a small cook out after the contest next year if you are interested. ;D Dicky- Thanks mate!!! It pays to have good reference books. Achtung Panzer is one of my favorites I use often while building...

Guys- My Panzer is 99% complete... only need to paint and add the antennas then I am calling it done. Did a trick for first time tonight... blew brush dipped into mud pigment against the hull. I like the look now... realized I need to drybrush steel on the teeth of sprockets. I hope to work on the base over the weekend... As usual thanks for looking!
