Thanks jackwagon, glad you like the meany! I'll get back to German lines soon, still got me the African Tiger I in the GB to finish, pfffiew ;D. And indeed all the etch is from the kit, except for the little tags which you can see on turret and hull, they come from the Legend kit Gary, thanks mate. Yep, that's the plan! Got me some ModelMaster Israeli Sand Grey...first time using enamels . Cheers

Hiya fellas, many thanks, glad you are still with me! Yesterday evening my girlfriend had a ladies night out, and the little 'un was with the grandparents, so plenty of time to do some mogelling...after a couple of hours I was finished with the assembly of the Friul tracks. HobbyBoss' instructions suggest to use 105 tracklinks ...make that minus 8...97 is more like it...if you use 105 you'll end up with a tracksag never seen before on a vehicle ;D ;D ;D Cheers

Thanks Dickster!
Well, I placed the tracks inside out now, so it was easier for me to add the final trackpin since this is just a dryfit.
But if I'm reading you correctly: do you mean the Merkava tracks are mirrored ones?
Cheers

thanks a lot Nate! probably the three tone ambush camo scheme ;D ;D ;D errrrm, or not ...I bought some ModelMaster Israeli whatsitcalled color ;D. It's the common sand grey seen on IDF stuff I think. Quite exciting, will be my first time using enamels Cheers

Nate, thanks a lot partner! I've managed to do a part of the ball 'n chain assembly but it's progressing slowly. Several hours and hours have passed by and I'm maybe halfway... Initially it wen't slow, but it wasn't too hard to assembly. But for some reason HobbyBoss decided that the PE parts where the chains needed to be attached to, had holes in them, with an opening in the bottom part...this makes it very hard to get the chains fitted firmly. So, for the rear attachment parts I needed to scratch them using styrene (Evergreen styrene strip, item number 103). I cut the styrene to length and drilled some holes it's not as tidy as jackwagon scratched stuff, but it does the trick The Voyager Models ball 'n chain is better than the HobbyBoss ones: the chain is easier to work with and the balls are more up to scale. The balls with the wire attached to on the left are the kit ones, the small dots on the piece of kneaded eraser are the Voyager ones Well, that's it so far. Still lots of frustrating hours on their way ;D ;D ;D ;D Cheers
