Reports I've read also reckon HB barely put enough chain in to complete the job so it's just as well ya got the Voyager stuff too - very nice work Bling and don't knock yerself there's no way I would/could have done that any neater my friend I've read that as well in a report in MMI. However, if I added the amount of chain links suggested in the instructions or the number on the real deal, they would be too long . I tried that out and it didn't look real. So normally I should have some spare links, even without the Voyager ones ;D Thanks for the compliments btw chaps Robbo, a saint and an angel ey...really don't know about that, just crazy I guess ;D. I told my brother in law he's an a***ole for making me build this LOL Cheers

Nice work on the ball-and-chain detail wouter! The styrene route looks like it's a sanity-saver for sure.

Bill, many thanks Sir! Gary, thanks dude, well, sometimes patient, sometimes ain't ;D. I agree with you though, those balls are the reason why this will be my last Merk! Rob, thanks a lot Boss, glad you like it! Andy: LOL...not quite though ;D, hope it's not killing you too much though ;D Dan: thanks mate! The purpose of those ball 'n chain is to prevent RPG's coming through, the underside of the turret is kind of a shot trap - a bit like on the 'Porsche' turret of a KT...the Merk II and III had the same issue, so I find it a bit odd that they keep adding a design flaw to the machine ;D Cheers

Hi Eth, thanks for the heads up and comments mate. I might consider an early Merk then, or who knows an IDF Sherman ;D CSS: thanks and yeah it is, though I don't have patience all the time ;D jackwagon...errrrm, LOL ;D ;D ;D well, some hours later and some more scratchin' and finally finished...ready up for paint! I must admit I've had it with balls and chains for a while now, but in the end it went pretty good . Now the lady has to get a little bath ^^ scratched part is a bit crude in comparison with the real stuff or the PE part, but it works much better. I lost one of the small balls to the CM, so only 24 in place on the back in stead of 25 That's all folks! Cheers

I work in the bigger scales 1/16 & 1/6. How you guys manage to put in so much detail in smaller scale's is just Fantastic..........

Spud, yeah mate, one of the advantages of living in a small country, which happens to have the greatest F1 track ever and the Ardennes ;D. On the other hand, I'm jalous of people living close to Saumur or Bovington T, thanks a lot mate! Slapping on paint, lookin' forward to that as well. Will be my first experience with enamels...any do's 'n don'ts? jackwagon: thanks a lot fella. Your suggestion...well I thought about that before I added the curtain to the turret... . Normally I wanted to drill out the holes in such a way that the 24 gaps would space equally without the gap in the middle. But it worked out the other way...was hoping no one noticed ;D. I'll go for your suggestion though, thanks! Possum, many thanks. I tend to think the same way 'bout people who build 1:72 ;D Alexander: this is the HobbyBoss one Cheers
