Perfect base for something as small as a RSO! One day I'd love for you to do a WIP how to create a base like this. Believe it or not I haven't done one before... LOL I will send plenty of candies over if you do.

The base size is perfect for that tractor, IMO. And after you will paint it and add all those tiny details that make the difference, it will be a little wonder

LOL thanlks fellas. She's still a bit wet so she has to dry another day to harden. In the meantime I will get some little stuff going.
A few more pics are on my site btw.

Hey Rob gow did you find putting the Wheels on. i taught it was a nightmare. on another note the base color is too much like the truck, Darker would set it off Way more.

Spud the wheels are a PIA especially when trying to get the tracks on straight. The base will get painted later spud, my usual black or dark gray.

Nice simple and effective base...perfect for this little RSO! As you mentioned, finishing the wood in a darker color will give it even more contrast, looking forward to the finish!

Thanks all for the kind words and for checking in on this one. I hope to get some work done on it this evening, along with the T-62 that is on the bench at the moment. Just having fun with these.

Sorry for not updating this one. Actually haven't had much bench time lately, besides working on the T-62 earlier. Well after a couple of hours here and there I got ahead on the RSO and base. Groundwork is still a bit wet here and there, and the black paint on the wood base. I still have to do some bits to place in the bed and maybe on the ground. I figure a few more hours on this one and she'll be DONE finally. Just a teaser pic for now.
