I'd take blame any day as long as we get to see you finish this Tiger. LOL Love your shiny @ss!!! I really like how your Tiger looks with all of shiny stuff... do you really have to paint it?

Hiya Bootsey dude!!!glad you like it bro madairbrush, thanks mate...well, can't say exactly how long, but it takes some time. Sometimes I think to meself: I'm gonna work on her for an hour and do that and this and that..only ending up with some small clamps finished ;D JT, thanks mate, and would love to see you do that! Tojo, thanks a lot ^^ Dan, well thanksdiddelydo neighbour ;D Nate, thanks bro! Tony, sure am, have been away from the etch for a while but back in full force , thanks! Brother John, thanks dude, I think he is indeed ;D Gary thanks lad! Now get that Tiger unwrapped Andy, glad you like the shiny a$$...wait a minute, I hope that's the Tigers' which you are referring to ;D, I will paint it...eventually ;D Rob, thanks mate, and LOL ;D, I had to while working on it well, didn't do much buildwise, but I was playing with the set up for the base a bit. The commander is looking out for Jabos whilst the loader is having a conversation with another tanker. figures are all Alpine with some heads switched (two of them being Hornet ones) Had to do some surgery to get the commander fit into the cupola. I will need to remove the DAK insignia on their sleeves btw, since the 501 wasn't formally a part of the DAK suggestion about positioning and stuff are most welcome since this is all a bit of a new game to me and suggestions for titles are welcome as well Cheers

All these Tigers...your killing me!!! ;D ;D Sooner or later my friend...sooner or later!!! Excellent choices of figures... love those Alpine stuff. Can't wait to put mine together over the weekend.
Your plan is already telling me a great story. The guy on the ground probably said... 'Do you think my arse is pretty and shiny enough?' The guy in the turret wasn't sure if he heard him correctly so he said 'Say again, huh'? Of course the commander was so embarrassed that he acted like he didn't hear anything...

Momcha and Rob, thanks fellas. And the base, yeah, it was cheap, only 5€, picked it up at SMC in Eindhoven this year Dan, thanks a lot buddy, glad you like it . Someone elsewhere suggested to turn the kitty a bit and turn the turret a bit to the right to create more interest and so that the Tiger wouldn't go over the edges of the base...on the second thought...wouldn't it be strange to have a turned turret with the canvas muzzle cover still on? Doesn't make sense to turn the turret I guess Also going to add some sign or so and maybe some more goodies on the groundwork? Cheers

thanks Captain Nemo, very glad you like 'er ^^ Freakstah! Thanks bro!!! And no OD mate...although there are rumours that the Germans captured some OD stock and used it on the Tiggies, I don't think they used it on the Tiger depicted in the beginning of the African Tiger adventure. I might be tempted to try the much contested two tone tropen camo though Glad you like that Bill, it was the jerrycan stowage which gave both 241 and 243 their distinctive look...bit different than the other Afrika Tigers really Thanks a lot Adam! Cheers

I did some research on that and found that one company of tanks from the 501st had painted their tanks in captured US Olive Drab. The two tone camo will be cool! My Panzer colors book shows some pics of some two tone sdk 250's. I'll post the pics in bit if you would like? oh and no palm tree either ;D LOL!

Hiya Freakdude, sure wouldn't mind seeing those pics bro, any reference help is most welcome . Glad there's no palm tree ;D Anywhoo, I made some progress today, and except for some smaller details the hull is pretty much finished. I guess one can say more with photos than words (or so I hope ^^) I decided to add the box and jack, which usually are fitted on the backplate to the engine deck...will be adding a tarp as seen on the old kitty. I also scratched the crow bar since the kit provided one was too short. And the metal bucket is a RB one...nicely preformed now who wants to be an allied soldier in the desert when seeing this in front of you ey? Cheers
