oh man G. yeah that is enough to make you want to do that. After getting the new TankArt book I am tempted to go to the shed and grab a few quick build (some what for a Dragon kit) and have fun with worn WW and all around weathering.
I can't wait to see what you do with the Hetzer. This is one model I have yet to build, beside the Italeri offering from many moons ago.

Rob, great pic isn't it ! The Hetzer is a model to go all the way with ! With your skills you'd make a great one so don't hesitate any longer my friend. Andy, I won't let you wait much longer mate... Bill, sometimes one great pic is enough to go crazy. Hairspray technique was used. I've tried to create variation in worn effects, scratches... Now I can start the hull W/W operation. Best regards ! AG

Yeah.. keep that pic handy for the next time there is one of those, "That's way too much weathering" arguments.

Gary, this was the pic that made me decide to go for a W/W version. Until now the hairspray method went well so I'm quite happy with it. Rob, the wheels were done first for training purposes. I think the viscosity of the white paint is very important to obtain an optimal effect. Mark, I keep 'm coming matey ! Andy, the underlaying camo must remain visible enough to show the pattern. I'll have to work with care...and I know how much you love W/W vehicles, this one's specially for you bro ! Luigi, please do that, the method is fascinating and always surprising, and after a couple of times you'll become handy enough to work to a certain appearance, suitable for the vehicle you want to depict. Bill, thanks for the confidence mate ! With each model I have the feeling that it's my first one and I know nothing ! Steve, the hull W/W has started with the front of it. wing_nut, that pic's a good one indeed to use against people who like to discuss the weathering ! Best regards ! AG.

I'm shocked I've not commented on this but it's so...I sort of expected to see an ambush scheme but I really like where you're taking this one. Purty indeed

Wow bro's, you make me a very happy Guy ! I think the model became more in balance after the W/W was applied. This photo was taken before I started the treatment with white enamel (Humbrol), applied as a thin wash to soften certain areas a bit. Best regards ! AG.

Thanks Tony, I'm glad you like the winter camo look also. I've tried not to cover up the entire ambush scheme.
Thank you Gary. It's always an exciting moment to see the flakes of the W/W come off.
Best regards ! AG.

T, thanks mate ! Andy, OK but mind the b*ll*cks (small parts can hurt). Leon, thanks ! The W/W method is so fascinating I can't get enough of it ! tojo, it's good to see the two can be combined without risking the overall look. After the enamel white Humbrol washes it looks this way now (tomorrow Clear mist + first dirty wash). Best regards ! AG.
