Thanks Steve, it's a whitewash followed by a white wash exactly.
Hey Dicky, no problem mate, the site is growing so fast I think it's just impossible to keep jumping in everywhere ! And there's so much of great quality to see... This is how I worked : 1, camo applied (not sealed with Clear *Clear was mixed in the camo colors), 2, hairspray applied, 3, flat white acrylic paint sprayed on, 4, chipped, scratched, 5, thinned white enamel wash applied (thinned with white spirit) ... Dicky, I'll never blame you or other members for not visiting my thread on a regular base, I know how difficult it is to follow each build log. I also jumped in your Hum and Hummer thread only recently, after a long time...and it's magnificent !
Thanks Bill, I think I can do some more today.
Andy, thanks mate, please tell me if the chilly feelings start to fade...
T, thank you fella, I do the best I can.
Dave, thanks, these words give me courage to battle on !

Thanks friends, the first dirty wash was applied (oil paint raw umber). I've brushed the wash over the entire hull and after 20 minutes I've created some soft vertical streakings by a small brush dipped in white spirits. This is only a primary streaking job. Also a first soft pinwash was added to the small parts and the running gear got its first dirty wash on too. The fun has begun ! Dirty Hetzy : Best regards ! AG.

Looking good - I love a nice Hetzer build! I'll be building a Dragon Pz. IV soon (Ausf. G, Kharkov) and will be doing a pretty much full whitewash on that so I'll be following this closely. I've tried Hairspray once and it worked well but I have recently bought some AK Chipping solution and work Effects to do the job of hairspray this time. I'll see how it goes! Looking good - keep the photos coming! Ben

smoke wagon, thanks ! Wout, the enamel white works great my mate ! Pete, thanks dude ! Mark, I have a clear picture in my mind and until now it goes the right way, hope it keeps going in the right direction eh ! Luigi, there's more to come ! Steve, I went for a couple of areas with firm white layers, I'm glad you like it ! Ceresvesta, I didn't do something else but following the general 'rules' of the whitewash method, I added several firm layers of hairspray, followed by three layers of Tamiya matt white, thinned with water (better removal of the white later on). I waited for about an hour to peel, rub and scratch. Thanks for the compliment, I really appreciate that mate ! Hinksy, I keep'm coming ! Panzer IV...I'll be hooked ! Leon, thanks ! Dan, thanks mate, until now I'm satisfied with the appearance ! Dicky, thanks, there's more done... Pic time : I've combined rust washes first, followed by dabbing in light and darker rust pigments, it works well and the pigments get sealed instantly. Have a nice weekend friends of MSCF ! AG.

You can't imagine how happy I am with your responses guys. Later on today I will finish the (one piece) jack of the kit. It's a one piece jack indeed, so there's nothing to do but give it a good paint slapping and glue it on ! The real stuff showing the details : See you lators alligators ! AG.
