Rob, Dave... thanks. Dave... I think... I am having... PANTHER WITHDRAWALS Finger is pretty good. Stitches out in a few days and as long as I don't bash it against something ... I hardly know it's there.

I'm liking the overall dusty/grimy appearance but aren't the front fenders swapped and on backwards?

LOL, I have seen a couple of pics of the outer fender thingies like that, so yeah it's right and gives character....eye candy. I have also seen an image of a couple of the side fenders in the wrong order...does/did happen, all depends on the crew.

MK, here's a frame from a film of 222 that shows the piece from the right on the left side.

Looks like the crew didn't follow Voyager's instructions very well.
I should just stick to robots. ;-p

I think Marc's on to something here...all you have to do is gash your finger and voila! beautiful craftsmanship emerges. (Disclaimer: not responsible for self-inflicted injuries arising from the use of sharp objects, intentional or otherwise, as a means of improving ones modelling abilities).

I hardly know it's there. Well, I'm hoping I can help you out there P-Bro. This weekend I plan to have a whole day'o'bench time. If only I was independently wealthy... lol Got any insider tips? (And in this economy, the liquor biz is booming... so much so that I read MM is dropping to 42% ABV to meet demand... bummer. How are those whiskey stones working out?)

Yeah, I read that bloody fingers make great rust streaks... or even the more sinister of front glacis stains. lol Maybe that IS Marc's secret!

Can't thank you all enough for all the nice things you've said. MK, don't quit on armor A robot is just a tank that figured out how to stand up is all. Bill, I really hope there is no correlation between the 2. That's a painful way to stay.. er.. sharp. Dicky, Now I have to be careful of something maybe even harder to do. Getting impatient and rushing through things as I get close to the finish line. I have done something that keeps me out of the winner's circle in the last 20% of the build more often than not. Dave, the whiskey stones are awesome. No worries about MM cutting the ABV. The consumer out cry was too much for them to bear and they reversed that decision. Demand my fat white butt. It's all about money.

I just knew someone would think the fender piece was wrong ...well yeah great chipping and streaking btw, especially on the muzzle, that just looks amazing! Just one thing: with the fenders already in place...doesn't it scare the sh$* out of you thinking about installing the running gear? I know I was with my Initial KT, so I painted the lower hull and running gear first before installing the upper hull...Lookin' forward to see how you tackle it, hope it goes without too much swearing Cheers

Wout my friend, if these were magic tracks i would be running screaming into the night... later.. when night comes It's not too scary with Friuls. As for the fender...I plan to include that pic with the sheet win the seasons show schedule starts.

well, in my case it were friuls as well , but it seemed very hard to fit them under the fenders, though they are glued firmly I imagined I would knock them off good idea about that photo indeed. I find it always cool to see some reference photos next to a model at shows ^^ Cheers

It's all about money. Good to know... guess I'm not as up to date on current events as I think. I do find it amusing that there was such a public "outcry" over an imperceptible 3% though. They pry could have done it quietly and nobody would have ever noticed. Now, my favorite ice cream coming in 1.5 qt containers vs. the full half gallon - now that's a travesty. One we've all lived with for too long now! RAGE! lol Looking forward to the tracks... still wanna see these 222's side-by-side when you're done.

Thanks to all you that have been checking in.
I've been working on the thing just no chance to throw any pics in yet. Added a bit of rust to the wheels. I got the look of RR rails that get used sporadically, a bit rusty bit still plenty of shine. Tools starting to get glued in place. Pics soon
