Right chaps im testing the waters with this 1 the Abrams is in my top 3 of favourite tanks so when i heard Tamiya was releasing this i had to get 1 so far in the build it has gone together like a Tamiya kit does exceptional and the details are crisp  the lower hull has been put together and now im starting on the upper surfaces hope you will enjoy this build and if anyone sees something that are not correct please tell me Box art:  Lower Hull   Texturing the upper surfaces    Next up will be to complete the texturing,thin the fenders and make a start on the turret more soon........ Thanks chaps Andy your not wrong about the price this put me off but at the last show it had £10 off so made it a bit easier on the wallet

Quick update on the Tusky 1st up was to mask up the engine deck and finish off the anti slip while this was drying i moved onto the lower hull Tusk reactive armour this whole side section was in 6 pieces and was an excellent fit I LOVE TAMIYA great kit so far hope the rest will be as good im back out in the cave tonight so hopefully have some pics of the turret....... Its good stuff gary i was worried that the sand particles would be out of scale but upon finding research photos of other m1 s some of there antislip looked like tarmac spread all over the surfaces :/ glad ya like it buddy. 2nd part of todays bench time Basic turret construction  Masking of the turret before anti slip is applied  anti slip applied  starting turret detailing rangefinder,CITV,stowage bins and smoke launchers   next up will be the barrel this needs sanding and priming then it can be installed more soon...... Dang, that rattle-can texturing looks great! Does it seem to adhere well to the plastic? I guess this means that the Legend TUSK conversions should get a bit cheaper now. |

Hey Dupes it seems to adhere ok it dries fast too i use lighter fluid to degrease panels before i paint so i think it should be ok i hear what your saying about the legend price but you cant beat resin and pe.

.....But if you had to,did you not think of doing THE best modern MBT(Chally) 
...Seriously tho....good that you're trying different things...can't get stale and jaded!!!(Like me!!!),and I'm looking forward to what you come up with!
