Really coming together now Paul! I think you've managed just the right amount of dirt/dust for the boots and lower pant leg. Everything else looks great in the detail department as well. Sharp work sir!

Still watching........ and learning. Really like the look of this and may be tempted to give it a go myself should nothing else grab my attention. However, before that I have a winged thing and a tracked metal monster to do. Tim PS And a couple of figures still waiting in the wings.

Last time i was Pauline i got arrested , still it was a good night Just a bit more done as i went to see the molds being made for my Black prince bust, anyway the haversack and the sword scabbard were finished, i had to put a spot of milliput where the haversack joined the sash so that will have to be touched in Had a go at NMM silver on the scabbard but it was a disaster so i used metal coat Paul

Chris cheers matey,
Bill the hands are primed ready to go, just going to get all his gear done first
bbd thankya kindly, the secret is not to use too much white, most of the haversack was done with shades of grey and brown with bits of yellow thrown in, the only real white is the highlights

Great job, Paul. NMM is a technique that I'd love to try someday, but it looks scarily difficult...

Dave many thanks, I must say that I think gold NMM finishes much better than enamel gold
Bullardino, thanks mate give it a go. its like anything really takes practice, I still have loads to learn on the subject so im still experimenting with different colours

Cheers jackwagon Just a couple of pics, had a bit of a problem with the rest of his gear, ive had to fix the rifle, which i beleive is an Enfield 53 pattern 3 band percusion rifle, in place without the sling, as the water bottle needs to go on next then the sling over the top. So at the moment its a floating gravity defying rifle . the right hand has been started, bit more to do i think i need to add a bit of pink to it, just looked at mine when its gripping something, no comments please, and it shows a pinkish colour next to the white of the knuckles, youll all know as your clenching your hands and looking right now Also note that the ammunition pouch has been done, straight black with burnt umber for highlights and the edges done with a dark grey Paul

I've finished the adjectives for this build. It's so nice that even gravity doesn't mind if the rifle defies it

Cheers guys, well don't need gravity now the rifle strap is on and part painted and the water bottle is fitted as well coming close to the end now apart from the massive colours, just both hands to fit and a base to make. on a separate note does anyone know if testers dullcoat is ok for acrylics, I just want to seal this when its finished as the paints scratch easy Paul
