Nice progress Paul, you'll have those wheels done in no time for sure! Just be careful about showing white stuff with carefully drawn angled lines, you know how Dicky gets around that sort of thing.

Hi all had a go at the first wheel, I made the outside rim from 3mm styrene, filing down to the outside mark to try and get the perfect circle, I then made the hub, this was done from 15mm hardwood dowel and turned on the lathe to get the shape, This was then marked for the spokes from the template and the holes drilled to take the 2mm rod which i cut over sized. with the hub and the outer rim placed onto the template i cut the spokes to size and the fitted the whole thing together adding a tyre for the final part. There are still a few bits to add, like a seperator plate and a lynch pin in the end to hold the wheel on, but other than that its on with the next one Paul

cheers guys OK finished the second wheel and miracle of miracles they are both the same size . so I made the hub separators and then started on the frame for the cab area. Once I was happy with this I started on the suspension hoops, this was made from 2mm rod and bent round a wooden former Two more hoops to go at the back and then I can start on the main deck all for now Paul

Cheers guys, im really pleased with the result so far. On a different note whilst i was making the bits today my wife walked into the cave, without even knocking , and she was watching me file a couple of bits and she said "why dont you use the Dremel you bought ages ago", after a short pause i replied "dont be so daft woman, you cant use a dremel for fine bits like this " , so after she left i dug it out the cupboard and sanded the other bits in half the time . ill just have to put it back in the cupboard when ive finished Paul
