Just been making a few bits that will adorn the sides of the chariot, a recurve bow, this will be in a holder with some arrows and a spear, ill probably do about 3 of these also in a holder on the side, this will be as well as the shields that will be hung on the suspension hoops

Made the bow carrier from milliput and added strap and buckle, the last pic shows roughly where it will go on the chariot

Ok after pondering how to pose the main lady and getting quite frustrated with it Ive gone for this








My idea is shes rallying the troops before Wat ling street, so in her right hand will be a spear pointing skyward and in her left a small round shield, She will be wearing trousers with a long tunic and a chain mail shirt over the top, also a long cloak, I'm going to add some kind of head band, not a crown but just something that denotes her status, she also had a large Torc around her neck and long red hair apparently down to her backside. Ive sanded all the hair off the head for now and raised the right shoulder

Couple of things done today, the left leg and bindings and i had a go at a hair plait, i dont think its a bad effort for a first go, the problem is doing the other side ill have to wait until it goes off and then scribe the plait in

Ok my mannequin figure came with 2 left hands so ive had to make my own, i probably would have anyway cos i want it holding the spear, so a blob of milliput on the spear and away i went cutting and shaping and filing and sanding. Amazing how long it took just to make this little bit
