Excellent work all round fella including the breast reduction surgery....I might need some of that action too!
Did I read that correctly Dicky, or has something been lost in the editing?

Cheers Andy much appreciated Thanks Bill MKIII holding up well Cheers Deano yep im about ready for paint as well jackwagon ok so id better bring me file and sanding paper as well as spru Dont listen to em Cee Bee Thanks Mac glad you like it OK with Boudicca almost finished this is just about 4/5 done, just another horse to go, soooooooooooo i thought i would get the paints out and multi task, paint and sculpt I made a start on the chariot, before hand though i had to drill a hole on the axle for the lynch pins to go in, nearly forgot about them And then primed the whole thing once the primer had gone off it had a base coat. The original chariot would have been painted so im going for a painted worn look if pos ive started adding a bit of detail to the bindings, and using burnt umber and black painting in dirt marks where wood or metal or leather rub together highlights are added going up to near white. i then added a pattern on the back and again faded it and added some weathering I have been hoping to get this finished for Telford in November but i dont think that will happen. Hi all Cheers Leon its nice to slap some paint on Thanks Bill, unfortunately i wasnt happy with the pattern so still working on it Thanks Bruce more coming up Glad you could join us Steve Good day today, holiday + s*** weather + wife away = BENCH TIME So did a bit more to the chariot. ive got rid of the pattern on the back, i didnt think it was good enough, there will be something there but im trying to work out how to paint a celtic rope knot along there, trouble is its quite a samll area and the pattern is complicated so i dont know if it will work To get a break from painting the bonding i thought id have a go at the drivers face. If you havnt seen it theres a brilliant article on Life Miniatures site lifeminiatures.kr/140178056263 this is the address, with a how to guide on face painting. So i started with a black base coat Once the eyes were done i added the highlights to the areas that would get the most light I then added a shade approx 3 shades darker to the rest of the face Unfortunately the colours dont show up so good cos i take crappy pics . Anyway from there i mixed 2 colours using the lighter and darker shades to get shades inbetween the 2, if that makes sense, and i used those colours to go over where the 2 shades met to tone down the contrast Once these had blended i added some very deep shadow and very light highlights and the hair If you want a more detailed description of how to do it check out the life miniatures site all for now Paul

The good thing about whether or not to add a pattern Paul is that the choice is totally up to you! Lashings/bindings are looking great as is the driver dude, nice little SBS on the face to go with it.

Cheers Bruce Andy many thanks bud Just a few pics firstly of the chariot, still plugging away at the bindings and secondly of the driver dude, i dry brushed the helmet with silver, firstly mixed with black and then for each run at it i reduced the black until i had straight silver at the top. added a bit of brass to the edges and a bit to the pattern, i was really pleased with how the helmet pattern came out . Started on the chainmail and the tartan cloak and then added the chin scales. more to come Paul

You've got good reason to be pleased with that pattern Paul, came out very very nice with the dry-brushing. Really makes it stand out even more as a result.

Thanks Bruce glad you like it Deano cheers mate, its the only bit I'm good at, the head and shoulders Thanks Tobi glad you like it Cee Bee me little dreme mucka we have oil here, they haven't discovered gas in this neck of the woods Thanks Bruce Cheers Bill, yep i gave meself a pat on the back for that bit Well i finally managed to do a Celtic pattern on the back of the chariot, this was the 6Th attempt at something that i thought was quite simple, there's still a bit of cleaning up to do for it and the photos are crap, for some reason my camera will not focus close up basically its a never ending loop that criss crosses along the length. I then decided to start the horse, I have been doing a bit of research into horses, for some reason i didn't think they were native to this country, turns out they found bones of horses dating 500,000 years ago in graves. So i then looked into variates that would have been around in AD 60, Thousands . After getting all that info Ive gone for something i haven't done before, after all I've made every thing else difficult, why stop at the horse, so its going to be a Skewbald, or brown and white to all you that know nothing about horses here's the left side with the base coats on, I'm using white and burnt sienna And here's the right side with shading added and an eyeball I really have no idea how this will look when its done, but that's 3 things on the go with the painting now so i shouldn't get bored Paul
