Nice one Tojo, I picked that one up at a local show in March. It's a lovely looking kit - I've got a couple of builds togo before I start on it so I hope to be making that my 'Christmas Build' Scheme wise I'm not sure which way to go with it yet - either go box art and cammo it up and weather it nicely OR go for the plain DY finish with full Schurzen and keep the weathering very ight i.e. not long out the factory. I'll be following your build VERY closely - be sure to blog it (in minute detail)! LOL! Ben

Very kool kit,did ya leave the suspension workable? Nice looking zim too.Keeping my eyes wide open for this. The only known setback to these stug kits is when the lower hull, main gun and upper hull come together but this is well documented.Good luck and keep churning out the progress reports.

Ahhh man! That is looking SWEET! That Waffle Zim looks seriously impressive! As I mentioned in an earlier post I have this kit in my stash - I bought it at a show in March this year. I was sold on this kit the minute I saw the first adverts. Nothing beats a good StuG III! I was going to save this for my annual BIG build later in the year but am soooo tempted to make a start on her the minute my current WIP is complete. Beautiful Kit - what plans do you have? Cammo? schurtzen? I was going to go all out on mine and make a reasonably 'factory-fresh' build with complete Shurtzen and everything. I've got the Friuls and the RB Barrel. I'm not 100% sure if I'll use the barrel yet as they've been a real PITA on recent builds. Keep the updates coming buddy Ben

1st option Ben,#222 no Schurzen, will add lots of stowage Looking good Tojo! When I saw the '222' on the box art I thought that would be the one but as I have a good few StuG's all wearing cammo and mud I thought the plain DY option with full Schurzen would make a nice change. No mud - just pin washes and a bit of dust. Factory fresh - mmmmm! Keep the updates coming! Ben
