Neat trick with the wire-into-chains approach Marc, have to remember that one. Vision blocks are looking good as well.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll take credit for the antenna but i picked up the chain idea somewhere out there in cyberspace. Carl a fellow modeler sent me a couple of pieces of this super thin iridescent plastic sheet. No clue what it is really used for. Depending of the viewing angle the color really changes.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the comments. I've gone over photos of the 1:1 and there does not appear to be much in the way stencils.

Thanks Chris....glad ya found it. Thanks for the comments.
Gary man i am really trying. Was about to strat when i realized i needed to make the CIPs and MILES tape for the turret so it can all weather together.

The kit came with preprinted paper stickers for the front CIPs but getting the color to match my paint would a real PITA. It was easier to simply make news ones with some sheet plastic. The MILES tape along the turret sides was made by spraying some Tamiya NATO Black on some clear decal paper and cutting strips to apply like any other decal.. They were sealed, before cutting, with a heavy coat of decal sealant which gave them some “dimension” when applied. Oh yeah... worked on the tracks too.

Marc I just took the time to re-read this whole thread. As always, your work is superb! Keep it up, and I cannot wait to see more. Oh, ummmm, some bad news - dude, I think your dog gnawed on your tracks or something. They're all chewed up!

Splendid work on the CIP Panel mounts and trackage and the Miles Tape looks very tidy indeed Marc.....it's the litle details like this, that separates the great builds from the truly superb builds - yours is firmly in that second category Excellent work Marc, the tracks look aces buddy.

Hey Guys... thanks a lot. So Dicky... still can't entice you to start an Abrams Boyd... yer close. I wipe 'em down with Cheez Whiz and put them under the kitchen sink and let the mice gnaw on them for a while

Nice trick with the MILES tape there Marc. Tracks are looking nice and used as well...even if they have been rodent-gnawed!

Thanks guys. But Boyd, the down side is... I GOT MICE! But a snap trap with a little bacon tied to the trigger with a dab of peanut butter... lets just say they don't get a shot at the tracks for too long. SNAPI think I got one
