Whoah, whoah...Wingy building modern armor? I haven't seen any other signs of the impending apocalypse lately, but maybe I should keep my eyes peeled!

Nice progress there Marc! Almost done with this one. One thing that I've always been curious about on Abrams...why do they carry just the outer plate of the sprocket as a spare? Are the teeth prone to damage or is it something else?

Dicky-Someone told me they saw them once a long while back back couldn't remember any details and I couldn't find them. But I agree, surprised someone doesn't make those.

Bill-I am guessing they must be prone to damage or why else carry an extra. From the look of the drive sprocket it looks like it would go on either side.

Tanker-The guy that asked me top do this will be lucky if I can actually give it up when I am done.

More than 3 weeks since an update? And shame on me for not acknowledging The compliments from Pete, Jack And prof. To you i saw... thank you.

Work has been ever so slow but I think I am getting to the end... of part 1 anyway. A few more fiddly bits on the vehicle then it's part 2. The crew and the mountain of stowage. At this rate that will take as long as getting the tank done. Can't remember the exact steps taken for the weather but there's at least 10 layers of filters was, more filters and more washes. I scratched the antenna mounts and print little flag decals for the antennas.

Marc... I shprpened the tip of my soldering iron and just wnet over the edges maikng little gouges then snaded off the high sopts.

Bill... yeah, the stowage will and somewhat daunting just by the sheer numbers

I like it! Perhaps i read a bit too fast through it, but i couldn't find which colours you used to paint this big boy!

Wouter... Yes, you should absolutely be getting back the the Abrams.

Heico... nope you did not miss it. I used Model Master acrylics... Sand for the base, which was darkened a tiny bit with Armor Sand for some modulation. AK stuff for all the washes and weathering.

Between all the M1 updates that have been going on and the fact that it's nearly a month... and that cannot be allowed... I finally have an update of my own.

I need to put more straps, and reposition the one that's there. The ratchets are made by Cory Sutton and they are freaking crazy nice. Not sure if I've seen him in here but here is in the Thunder Run FB group and hangs in Armorama. Nooks and crannies are filled with loose MRE's , water bottles and BP oil cans.












If you were seeing this for real you are about to have a very bad day.
