An amazing result on the exhausts you get there. One small thing on the convoy light, we all believed for many years that it was blue, but there is an original one was found and it is green when lighted and black when the light is off Eddy

Hi Carl, very nice so far! But perhaps you can add some (light colored) pin dust washes to add some tonal contrast. The overall look is quite dark & static now due to the fact you only used dark colored washes. So I think some light colored washes will do great on this one.
Still very nice. Keep up the good work!
Marcel.

Coming along nicely in the details department Carl! For the light, if you've got some Tamiya Clear Smoke, that seems to work very well in terms of replicating the light's off look IMHO vs. an opaque color like gloss black.

Marcel , thanks for taking the time to comment . Bill , I'll try out that idea . Maybe a base coat of silver ? That's what I use when I do periscope faces. In this case though the base coat of Silver might be too strong for the light, you'll have to play around with it to see what works best.

Used some Tamiya smoke and green to get this look . Dabbed some pigments on it to get a dusty look . Its a little bit better than the previous look .

Mmmmmm If models were women this beast would be Kelly Brook Stunning work all round Carl! The Jack Block looks amazing as does the work on the Mufflers. I really liked the two brush grey enamel paint scuffing effect you got going on there. That worked a treat and is something I'll be trying out - I'll drop you a pm for more details on that method if that's ok? I'm overdue a Tiger build - I think my next Tiger based build will have to be one of these brutes. Dragon should get in on the act and release a ready Zimmed version imo. I just hope I don't finish my latest wip when it's MoM time! LOL! Great work Carl, inspirational stuff! Ben

Eddy , good nuff then . Thanks . Ben , thanks for looking . You know the thing with the two brushes is that the pointed one I used to make the long thin scrapes and the bushy brush I dabbed in the gray and then took off the excess paint on a cloth and then randomly dabbed or pulled it across the surface .I used enamel for the gray paint and the surface was sealed with a acrylic matt .That allows you to remove the enamel gray if the results are not as you wish them to be .HTH my friend . John , always good to read your comments bro . Leon , thanks , I appreciate having you looking in my friend . Phil , good to know you like it . Well its a beaut of a day outside so I've got to get out there . I spent to much time on this for this morning already . Addictive it is !!!! I redid the shovel handles and dabbed some thickened pigment on the blade .
