Hi Ian,
Thanks very much mate, I wish it was a real car build! I don't think I'd have the space in my hobby room though.
I should have another update for you all soon, as you know I'm working on the front end body work at the moment and the painting stages take a little time, so progress has slowed down a little.
Best Regards
Keith

Good Evening Gentlemen, Here is another update for you, First off we have a photo of the front end minus the bonnet with the 2 pack clear coat sprayed, as you can see the base colour has changed quite a bit, the lighting has picked out a lot of the metal flake in the paint, in reality it is not this severe. Next we have a photo of the Front luggage compartment painted and installed, also in this photo you can see that the front wheel wells have been installed also, these have not had the carbon fibre treatment as when the front goes on they will be all but invisible. Also in this photo you can see that the front oil coolers have been installed. Next are the Headlamp assemblies ready for installation. not much to say about these really. Then we have the Seats and seat belts installed in the tub. and finally a view of the completed engine bay and exhaust system. As always all comments, questions and criticisms welcomed. Best Regards Keith

Immaculate work Keith, worthy of a showroom IMHO. Have you thought of selling it to your local Porsche dealer ?

Hi Steve,
Thanks for looking in. That's a good idea about the Porsche dealership there is one just a few miles away from me, they may be interested to look at it. Thanks for the kind words.
Best Regards

Good Evening Gentlemen, Here is another update for you, not too much to say really, I'll let the photo's do the talking: This is now starting to look like a Carrera GT. The wind screen is only dry fitted to the frame at the moment and the front end is yet to be secured as I have to install the door sills first and these are still "in progress". The bonnet panel gaps do need a little tweaking as one side is slightly larger than the other, but overall so far the fit is spot on, even with the paint and clear coat. I have also had to change my signature background to a lighter one as the first Photo's just showed up as a reflection of my ceiling from the bonnet. As always all comments, questions and criticisms welcome Best Regards Keith

Very impressive Keith! You know you're doing a bang-up job when you have to adjust your photo setup because of reflected glare!

Good Evening Gentlemen,
Boots, thanks very much mate,
Chris, thanks for stopping by mate, good to hear from you again, perhaps I can get a job with Porsche painting their cars? Lol.
Bruce, thanks very much, the model and parts I am working on are kept clean by storing them in plastic containers, these are also used when the clear coat is sprayed to keep the dust off.
jackwagon, thanks for looking in Mate.
Bill, thanks very much, I was quite surprised about the glare issue, still I think the car shows off better with the lighter background.
Moose, no problem mate, good to have you back, thanks for looking in.
Leon, thanks for looking in.
Sam, thanks, but don't' give the game away mate, the others haven't realised yet.
Mark, thanks very much mate, good to have you cast your expert eye over it.
I should have another update for you tomorrow as I have now finished and fitted the sills and installed the windscreen and front end permanently. Work will now start on the doors.
Best Regards
Keith.

After looking at the 4 pages here it's hard to believe I am still looking at a 1/12 model.
Sweet work Keith!

The camera knows and sees all...and each one is finicky when it comes to lighting. I know mine behaves totally different under various background and lighting settings no matter how much I try to adjust/compensate for it in the manual settings. Technology will always have its limits I think!
