jackwagon,
Thanks very much mate, high praise indeed. I have had a go at most of the modelling genres. over the years I have built Armour subjects (The Faun,Challenger 2, Famo and Trailer, M26 Recovery vehicle and Jagdtiger) I have also built a ship (The bismarck) a locomotive (BR52 Kreigsloc) and I have done several figures, all of these can be found on the Milmod site.
I find that varying my subject helps sharpen the skill sets required for this hobby, each genre has its own unique set of requirements as you all well know.
Chris, Thanks very much mate, glad you like it.
Steve, "Headline ... "Master-craftsman of the model making community turns out another work of art". Thanks very much Mate.
Bill, I'm glad you enjoyed the build, thanks very much for following.
Best Regards
Keith.

Hi Dominiek, Thank you for looking in and I'm glad you like the Porsche. In answer to your questions: 1.Carnauba is a high quality wax used for polishing in the automotive industry. 2.The Display case is by Tamiya, it is Display case L for 1/12 cars. 3.The BR52 build can be found HERE it starts at the bottom of page 1, the full build is not covered but you will get the general idea, final photo's are on page 4 I think. The Diorama that the build article talks about in page 1 did not get built as the size would have been too great in the end. I hope this answers your questions, if you have any more please ask away. Best Regards Keith

Holy moly !! What a fantastic build. Your paintwork is first class, which makes this model look BETTER than the real thing.
My hat is off to you sir.
Sincerely

Incredible work! Amazed at how perfect everything has to be and is. Right down to panel gaps and the finish of the paint. Tanks are so easy compared to this, we can cover mistakes and dodgy bits with mud lol

Dan, I hope jackwagon and CB weren't leading you astray? Thanks very much for the kind comments mate. I haven't started the enzo yet, I'm gathering the extra parts and supplies I will need. it will probably start in the new year,
Pascal, Thank you very much my friend. it was quite a long build but I think the end result was worth it.
Mark, thanks very much Mate. I have started an armour project now, I may post some progress, we will see, I'm a bit out of practise. I haven't built an Armour subject for about 4 years now.
Beast, thanks very much, I guess this would be an interesting twist if I weathered the finished model with mud and dust.
Thanks again Fellas.
Best Regards
Keith.

When I began to read the topic, i thought that you was showing pictures of a true Porsche, but I was wrong, the quality of your one if really more beautiful than the original Porsche Carrera Whitehorse can have some présentation defaults (truth). Real bravo for this masterpiece !!!! JC

Sorry Keith for not showing up sooner. I've been swamped and overwhelmed with the new house, and I ran into some issues with my modeling area that hopefully I've resolved now Absolutely stunning build brother. Absolutely stunning! You do very nice and clean builds. This baby look so realistic I was going to ask you to take me for a ride haha ;D I'm very anxious to see you have at the Enzo now! Congrats brother on a beautifully crafted piece.

Hey Moose,
Good to hear from you mate, glad to here you're settling in to your new home and have made a start on the new modelling room.
Thank you for the kind comments about the build and my methods, I did really enjoy this one, it went together very well indeed. I guess this is really down to the engineering guys at Tamiya.
I will start the Enzo in a few weeks, I am gathering some extra parts and supplies so that I have everything I need before I begin. I have been trying to find some more references to the door problems, but builds of these new kits seem to be few and far between on the web. still I will keep looking.
Best Regards
Keith

Indeed Mike, I would like to have a go at one of those big boys but seeing the quality of the some of the builds it kinda puts me off.
One day.

Hey Mike, Thanks for posting that one, although I have seen it already. certainly a very nice example though.
Mence, you should give it a go mate, you certainly have the skills. having now started the Enzo kit I would say that the kit is no where near as good as the Carrera GT. there are a few issues that have to be thought out on the Ferrari kit along the way. When I get a bit further along I'll start a blog and post some progress shots.
Best Regards
Keith.

Krar, Thanks very much for the kind words, I'm just bringing this back near the top of the list as I have had a couple of PM's On the other site from new members about this model with questions regarding the build. I hope they find their way over here.
Best Regards
Keith.
