Well George is finally finished, added the stirrups, reins and lance, there are a couple of bits to touch up but ill probably do that when its fixed to the base which is under construction as we speak..........figuratively that is

Hi All especially Debs

into the final stages now , The base, couldnt find a decent piece of oak so i used some redwood and stained it a sort of oaky colour, says oak on the tin,,but ho hum. anyway shaped with the router and then for the scenic top i used loads of stone sfrom the garden, i wanted to get a sort of rocky outcrop for the dragon to sit on, the rest of it is porion plaster

jackwagon. weather turned to rat shite ...........it was our pleasure to put you up, great company shame it was just for one night and glad you got back safe

Armorguy, cheers matey yep lots of dry brushing and my favourite part

So far ive just added washes, first a dark wash of black and burnt umber over the whole thing, this makes sure ive got all the plaster covered



Then a slightly lighter wash of burnt umber and raw sienna



I then washed it with burnt umber and green avoiding the rocks



The rocks then were washed with a dark stone mixture



Finally the rocks had another wash with a lighter stone colour



ill leave this over night to thoroughly dry out and see how it looks then

Hi all

After this had dried i did a few more lighter stone washes on the rocks and then started dry brushing, this was done with various shades of green and brown for the grassed area and stone and grey for the rocks, finally finishing up with early pure white. Then added some grass, leaves and clumps to finish it off

Hi all

Well after a final push this one is finally finished, it feels like ive been doing it forever but i have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge especially sculpting the dragon, it doesnt show on the pics but the spear tip is just about touching the dragon which does give it another point of support. i shall feel at a loss now even though plans are afoot for the next project. i wont be doing anything for a while until ive moved house and got the new cave sorted...enjoy

I am totally overwelmed by the remarks all of you have left, it makes all the work worthwhile. My only problem of course is what do i do for my next build. Many ideas in my head so after the move and the new man cave is set up itll be back to business
