Deano, Leon, Anthony, Bruce, Carl, and Robbo, glad to have you along for the ride! BJ, so long as the funds are well used in support of the Sherman cause, you'll be fine! This one has sat patiently in the stash since it was first released waaaaay back when even though the temptation was strong at one point to sell it when the e-bay fever was raging at its height! Uncle T, yep and I kept my powder dry the whole time as well, not an easy task for sure! Wouts, stay strong buddy! That III and Abrams are coming along very nicely, don't let up now. Luigi, you get free choice of anything in Andy's stash. You just have to fight him for it. Dan, no doubt about that and this one's packed to the box-top with all kinds of extras and choices, so have to decide what to use and when, but that's a good thing.

I can understand that Andy, especially given the collector market that's out there for kits and the age on this one has allowed it to appreciate more than your usual kit, same thing goes for some of the CH white-box Tigers. I originally had 2 of these kits as I had plans to build two of the different variants provided for but ended up donating the 2nd one as a contest prize a couple of years back as I'm not a huge big-cat builder and the enthusiasm faded over time for the 2nd one. Be interesting to see how well they hold their worth as unbuilt kits as more time goes on!

Oh man...full circle for me. You were banging out the Initial (kit 6252) when I first got back into modeling back in '06 (still one of my favorite Tiger builds - just does something for me). Took a while to fill the rest of the stable, eh?

Bill i think looking at the kit in the box you are getting a superb kit. the only thing not in the box is the zimmerit. all this needs really is the tool clasps.

This is going to be great - the only thing that beats a Tiger I build is a 'Bodge' Tiger I Build! I love your work Andy so I know this will be something special! Btw, your DVD arrived this morning - it looks great so I'll be sitting down to watch that shortly. I thought it was my overdue M48 Legend Mantlet cover for a minute! I'd actually forgotten you said you were sending the DVD to me! If you need anything for your build my spares box is bulging, loads of PE too (and tools) if you need tool clasps etc for your Tiggy. Thanks again for the DVD! Ben

DF, glad to have you along! No vignette or dio plans for this one but that workable suspension will sure make life easier in terms of getting a level set to things. Dupes, I have to agree that the Initial Tiger build and finish still ranks as one of my favorites too! Hopefully this one will be worth the wait. Dave, I build one at a time so as one rolls off the bench another is there to take its place. Will do my best to flag any issues encountered along the way to help you when the time comes for yours. Bodge, it's definitely packed full of goodies. The zim is a must of course and the PE tool clamps that Dragon provides are ok but I'll be using some different ones from Griffon as I prefer their design approach vs. Dragon's, so some mix-and-match may take place. Ben, one day I'll approach Andy's level of craftsmanship in a build but I think I've still got a bit to go before you can legitimately confuse the two of us on a project.

[/quote] Dammit - sorry Bill There is a 'sort-of' explanation - honest (insert blushing face here): I'd had three hours sleep from working a double and was falling asleep at the laptop. I read Andy's post about it needing PE clasps and though it was his build. Anyway, we don't see many Bill Plunk Tigers so I am looking forward to this! I see it's a '3-in-1'? What are the options and what plans do you have? Sorry for the misunderstanding lads, I'm off to get my final photos done now to wrap up my Pz.III thread - final update later tonight! Ben

BJ, no kidding but at least they are all steel on this beast! Spent a good part of the day yesterday cleaning them up and getting them ready, always something I like to get out of the way early on. Ben, no sweat there buddy! We've all been there. The 3 options in the kit are a Tiger I Late, a Tiger I Late Command (befehlspanzer), and a Tiger I Final. Differences between the Late and Final are not huge but the kit accommodates for them regardless which is a neat touch IMHO. I'm planning this one as a standard Late. Elco, glad to have you along as well!
