You should have used blueish washes, or even silverish ones, so to look like Iron Man Great progress, the mud looks perfect and the tracks too

Looking good Carl! Not sure if the tracks are still a work in progress and/or if you already know this, but the track block pads on HTs are faced in rubber and not all-steel. Got to love the look of the chassis all muddied-up!

I painted the pads Tamiya XF-1 . With so many of them to paint I had been putting off doing the tracks . Finally I used this brush and went over the raised pads with this brush at a 45 degree angle and with the brush loaded with XF-1 , I ran the brush length wise on the track run . Brush was not saturated but holding enough paint to deposit on all of the pads . I let the paint dry and applied another coat from the opposite direction .. It took about 5 passes . Next will be weathering the tracks .

Tracks look great! You may want to sell the soil by the ounce though, because good soil is getting scarce.

Hi my friends ! Theres been a major distraction at my house since last Wednesday .........my 7 yr. old grand daughter came and stayed with us till today , Sunday . When she is here I devote myself as much as i can to being with her . Her and I get along especially well . She keeps me real busy when we are together .
So now I should be able to get back to the bench ! I'll miss the little gal though .................

I have the firewall , radiator shroud , fenders and gun platform attached . I removed the air cleaners that I had mounted on the firewall earlier due to them being out of position for correct alignment to the engine . so some sanding and re-painting was necessary . Surprisingly the over fit has been good .Added some brown chalk dust around the radiator and engine compartment for a dirtier used look . I redid the exhaust manifolds to get a better rustation look on them . Also I spread some more garden dirt on the under carriage .
