carl am i seeing correctly, two tones on the exhaust mainfolds? looks like the silver on the top and black on the sides. i ask because it really has a look like it was masked and then painted up. wow. what an engine. what an indication of whats to come.

Hey guys been gone most of the day .It was Tony that started the lump thingy wasn't it ? Guy , grime is on the next step . Pete , ok , whats "per old fruit" meaning ? Bruce , yes , sadly ,gotta muck it up . Andy , Lui , Deano thanks guys . Bill and Leon , yup , Cant wait to sloppy it up . Gary , I know bro , it came out lookin far better than is required . What can I say ? I couldn't stop myself . Joe , I can see what your speakin of . But the exhaust manifolds are entirely black . Its the coat of Future making a reflection .This look will be nothing but a memory when I get to sopping on the wash's and pigments my friend .

Here's some grime on the Maybach gents . First artist oil paint wash was with burnt umber . When that cured I sealed it with Future . Next wash is with oils paint Ivory black . That hasn't cured yet so tomorrow I'll spray some Future over it . Its snowing !

Carl you really did a number on that "Lump" of plastic. Guess you know you'll have to do a lot of work to make it look like something. Tony lee

Really looking awesome Carl .I have to give that a try on my on my build. How much did you thin the oil paint for the wash? Leon i used oderless mineral spirits .The burnt umber went on first and was thinned to the viscosity of spray paint but it was was brushed on and the excess taken off with a dry 1/4 inch wide brush . The black wash I put on in a thicker viscosity and used the same brush and a Q tip to remove excess . Problem is the thicker black wash takes a lot longer to dry . HTH my friend .

Now that's quite the transformation Carl, very nice, you can be an old fruit as long as you don't go soft!
