Very much worth the effort Boots and a splendid job all round. You're not alone mate, for me, the fave part of any auto build is the engine whether you can see it well or not! I think that once it's assembled, you will catch enough glimpses of it to make you think 'yeah, good call on the donk'
More please...

((LOL))......thanks mucka , i`m gonna take your route next time !! Has been tedious at times, especially having to keep cleaning the AB after every colour , some of the colours only required one drop of paint and thinner!!, i think it`ll be worth it tho

Thankya kindly Bill and Jeff... Ok some very similar pics but with all the plumbing done... The front end pipes and 3-way valve.. The rear brake pipe.. The one for the clutch.. These two are too ferkin` short by about 1mm each ........gonna have to get some more!! And how she looks so far..........ran out of primer this evening so i only managed to get some on the rear cowling and front fairing, those couple bits will keep me occupied until i can get some more In the above pic you will see a lovely little white mark just on the black frame..................yep it`s ferkin` C/A , !!!!!!, gonna have to carefully sand it back and touch up as required......BUMMER!! ,you can see it clearer in the 4th pic down!!, good job i got plenty of micro mesh from 1500-12000 Cheers all

Thankya kindly mucka , as for the pipe cable........i got Red, White, Orange but no ferkin` Black (((LOL)), thanks for the offer tho bud, i`ll be able to splice a bit in right under the petrol tank and it won`t be seen, that way i can still keep the Black ends on the bars ...........i am so tempted to convert one of these racers into a `Streetfighter`......that way i could use the coloured cables etc As for the glue......more of a PITA than a big deal, and ya right.....another half inch and it would have been on the `Donk`!! , there`s a few little touch ups needed here and there so i`ll do it all in one hit i reckon

Whoops didn't see this one start As you know, mine never crossed the finish line, it sort of limped off into the pit never to be seen again. You doing a cracking job on it and that engine looks well good

Oh, I was sure you were a micromesh fan like me No way you can get a smoother finish. I'm sure the save will be invisible, the rest is soooo nice

Smooth as a cashmere codpiece fella, looking peachy.
Shame about the C/A but as Dicky rightly points out at least I it's in a place where you can get to it.
Keep up the good work buddy...

Thanks again fellas Righto AB cleaned and a start made on the tins..............also the fairing is underway but the side fairings will have to wait until i get some primer!! The fuel tank was flattened back from it`s first dismal attempt using micro-mesh 3200-8000 and then a rubbing compound to make it a smooth as a you no what!..............the Red was then built up in thin layers and i`m gonna leave for a few days to fully cure, then i can mask and do the Gloss Aluminium........just as a note, this is the paint finish before any Gloss/polish etc has been applied!! Managed to rescue the C/A damage 99% but it`s hidden behind the fairing anyway so i`m not to fussed, the tiny bit of damage from the glue is a slight scar in the plastic but you can barely see it. Dom.........the jig is just made up from my own imagination fella so no plans available fella, basically it`s about 9 inches long x 2.5 inches wide and about 1 inch in depth...........the bits the wheels sit on are adjustable for differing sizes of build!, i will eventually build a posh one which i can use for photo shots.........i keep adding to it as and when the needs must buddy Lui........wouldn`t be without the stuff fella
