Nice work Pete, glad to see all is back on track.
Mine is very much on the back burner along with all the other projects until at least the end of January. Might get the odd few minutes here and there, but nothing worthy of an update. Will continue to look in though and see how things progress.

Here's the figure in primer for the tank, it's a rather nice ALPINE ITEM. I think the leather gerkin and gauntlets suit the early period of this model. I've also been adding some pin washes to the tank and some paint fading so pics of that in the morning.

Alpine figures are some of the best I've ever seen, and this is no exception.

(rofl)Nice one Dicky, I prefer picked eggs myself but the wife does'nt if you get me drift I hope that the fading shows once the matt is on. Sometimes I find that it can disappear under it but I also find having the contrast too stark at this stage looks unnatural later on.

Cheers guys, here's the figure with his leather jerkin painted with oils. It's got to dry out and will not be as shiny as it is now.

Leather looks pretty realistic!!! Great work. I really hope Pete doesn't have a nice collection of leather pants and outfits because he nailed it on the figure...
