Looking better and better every time you post an update. A quick question... I am about to spray Rusto textured paint on my Chally tonight. How soon did you remove the masking tapes? While paint was wet or completely dry? Thanks again for helping us out! I'll answer here for Pete if I may. Andy the textured paint goes on rather thin and sets up quickly. I believe it's designed to be built up in multiple ight passes. It's a modellers dream! Spray and wait a few minutes then carefully unmask. That's what I did anyway.................... G

It sounds fairly easy to use as long as I spray at a good distance.

Oh man! I am loving it especially the sand build up on the anti-slip. It will not look like that on my Chally because its harder to see on sand/tan paint. Stunning work once again!

Nice progress Pete! I can see how the anti-slip would 'hold' more of the wash but that just simulates a good dust build-up IMHO no the textured surface. Looking forward to more!

Cheers guys I must admit initially I thought it was too much especially on the anti slip but you are right about these things sometimes being absolutely filthy! Figures and stowage today hopefully so piccies this evening I expect.

Pete- a question: Has the enamel wash/filter lifted part of the underlying camoflage (particularly around the drivers hatch) or is it the way the colour has settled into the pits of the rustoleum? Either way serrendipity strikes again. Lovely result. P

Either way serrendipity strikes again. Lovely result. P Paul it's the way the colour has settled plus loads of streaking and grime. Well managed to get the matt on today and the model now looks tons better at least to my eyes. Last night I added a couple of rough tarps to the turret basket and sorted out the stowage. Today I painted it all and I'm rather cuffed with the results. I could have gone mad with the stowage but kept it restrained as I didn't want to loose the lines of the turret under a ton of stuff. I'm particularly pleased with the two bottles especially the green one which I painted up to represent mountain dew, a disgusting drink in my opinion but whenever I have been on American military bases here in the UK I've seen almost everyone drinking it. I've added the metallic elements to the model as well as the scopes and added some headlights. I now need to let this dry for a day or so and get the figures going.

wow, that stowage looks great indeed, not too much, not too little. Gonna look cool when in place! And indeed those bottles are very neat as well!
Btw, I see you added some locating tabs on the wheel on the side of the basket, looks cool as well, need to remember I need to add that as well.
Can't wait for the next update!
Cheers

WOW! Just amazing!!! Missed your stowage update... love the Mt Dew bottle. I drank like 4 or 5 everyday when I was in college. And I still went to bed like if they didn't bother me at all. Now if I have one past 6 or 7pm there is no way I can sleep for hours. LOL
Keep it coming my friend!
