Nice dried mud effect mate. I must say I like that method, only used it recently for the first time and quite enjoyed it. This looks good dude!

Excellent finish Pete! The Rustoleum really did the trick. I like the amount of dirt.

thanks chaps, I have been working on the figures today so should get some pics up tomorrow. as for the base a visit to ikea will sort that out in the morning.

LOL If I could sell it for that much I'd be worth a few bob! Actually the sand is from Iraq and the stones and gravel are from a beach in Greece! I always collect some sand, stones etc when I go on my travels. |

Pigments where added dry on the upper hull then some mud splatters added with thinned pigments and a brush. Boot marks aka calibre 35 boot stamps and oil staining from MIG stuff. 
, really neat finish and some great attention to detail mate!
