Thanks guys, the paint is on now. Well for most of the parts anyway. The colour looks (lifecolor IDF 1982 ) nice but i had some trouble getting it through the airbrush

What did you hear about this Dicky? And what do you use for thinning?

Luigi, the first batch i did unthinned, after a while i started using acryl-thinner.I am not 100% sure but i could be a bit better.

I have read that LC behave well with their thinner and react badly to other thinners or water...

I didn't know that. Well it's not my standard paint (yet) but it's one of the only brands that has a nice (acrylic) colour specially for IDF.

Now the basepainting is done. At request of someone (on another forum) some more pictures, which i didn't mind because it gave me the chance of playing some more with my new phone's camera . Next up will be the painting of the smaller parts.

Dicky, my preshade plans for this one were rudely interupted because of the airbrush troubles. It wiped out an entire piece of it. Then i decided to just paint the whole thing normally. Doesn't matter. I will weather it up good

Wbill, thanks man. It's 13 MP so you might expect some nice pictures indeed haha. Too bad only Nokia has the Carlzeiss lenses, i would have loved on of those on my Samsung. The pictures coming from those are superb!

Dang! I allmost forgot I had this topic running here. Been lazy around here, but busy with all sorts of things (and i mostly respond to emails from forums ) but anyway, here is another update.

This is the version i want to make, but it won't be a dio just the vehicle. With the Meng decalsheet this is possible. From the few markings on the front i can get enough information for the other markings (turret and skirts).



The Merkava was glossed painted and then it got some decals. Also i painted the Yanush stripe. Only the rings around the tube need to be placed but this had to wait a bit for the stripe to dry up.

Thanks chaps! This will be moving along a bit slowly though. Got some other projects on the bench which have a deadline. So needless to say those have the bigger priority.

Wow, i had to deep this up from page 3. It's been a while since i've been here..  Sorry bout that, i'm a lazy forum-guy. Always using reminder emails for looking up the topics i reply too. A lot has happened since my last update, actually it's finished. 
It sat on the bench for quit a while since the weathering didn't go the way i wanted it. But on a certain point i just said to myself, no more of this and i went and finished it.
