Hello chaps.
Wow, very pleased you like my efforts and a sincere thanks for taking the time to comment, it means a lot to me.
I'm sorry, no update today as I have a fairly hectic social schedule to keep up with.
I have done a few more bits, applying a number of small decals such as warning labels, engine numbers etc. as well as tidying up some paint that I felt I could do a touch better.
Will post again early next week, hopefully with her complete which will be a great shame as I have loved doing this one, a real treat.
Never mind, all good things come to an end but hey, I have Mengs new Bradley, a 1/6 Honda Cx500 Turbo, a 1/12 Caterham 7 and a 1/32 Phantom all calling to me so I'm sure there will be something there to keep me occupied!
Thanks again guys.

Chaps, thank you both. Al, enjoy the build buddy, it's a joy to put together. I was going to use the detail set but on reflection I'm quite glad I didn't, it's very expensive and for what you pay, it ads very little really. Maybe if the price drops a lot, I might retrofit the detail parts. Back soon.

Coming in Super late on this one Prof but WOW! I was tempted with one of these kits. I was thinking about getting the Road King because my father in law has the real one lol. This kit looks amazing and you're doing a flawless build of it. Harley would be proud ;D I'm here for the rest... Great work buddy!

Hi Al. Yep, no doubt it's a great kit although the purists among us might just view the screws and bolts as a departure too far from traditional model building. Anyways, I love it. Here we go. Fuel tank bolted on and sundry cables and tubes attached. Left hand engine cover painted in enamel and then the bolt heads carefully stripped of paint to reveal the alloy colour underneath, I prefer doing it that way than using the kit supplied decals for the bolt heads. Soft vinyl seats attached, each with a socket head bolt, a bit of touching up of the paint here and there and tadaaaah! Will post some more images in the Gallery when I get some spare time. Well, I can safely say it's going to be a very long time before I experience the modeling pleasure that I have over the past six weeks, this has been a joy for me and is unlikely to be repeated. Just leaves me to say a huge thank you to all who are kind and supportive enough to both follow and comment.

Clap, clap, clap, clap... That's my standing ovation, mate. With the right backdrop it can be mistaken for a 1:1 bike.

Came out a stunner Mence! No need to worry about purists here...it's not like you didn't have to put in a lot of work on this one to get it to this state in terms of painting, detailing, assembling, etc. Definitely enjoyed watching it all come together!

Hello everyone, thank you so much for the kind words.
Have now uploaded a few mor images to the gallery.
I will spend a few hours touching in details which the camera has highlighted as being seriously substandard then I will call it properly done.
The end of this build has left a big modeling hole and I really don't know how to fill it!

Gag, thanks buddy, glad you like. Luigi, seriously fella, I know nothing, don't know when to apply a clear coat before weathering or decals and weathering! Wtf! I really don't have a clue especially with all these fantastic products around. It truly is a dark art which I struggle to get my head round hence my reluctance to build too much Military stuff. I can stick it together as well as the next person but beyond that, I really am clueless, properly daft. I like doing a bit of Military but for every one ok ish build that you see, there is also a massive stockpile of failed attempts. There we go, it's out in the open, feel better for that!

Superb finish Mence,
This really is a stunner, when you post the photo's can you put in a reference object so I can better judge the size of this fine piece.
When is the Lansing show? that's near my neck of the woods, perhaps I may be able to bring the Porsche down.
Best Regards
Keith

Mence, Your Fat Boy is spot on! I am sure the kit is fantastic but, it is your work that pulled it all together. I love the color you chose for it. Flawless.

The silver I really like, you can thank Jeff for that, his suggestion and I think it really suits it.
