Hi ajcmac,
It is a beautiful kit, I did one a while back from the Royal Class'. A desert scheme will look great.
I think I have a set of the PE flaps if you are interested.
To be honest they scared me so I just left them off, but free to a good home where ever you may be.
Looking forward fir done build pictures.
Chris.

Nice kit,and if you show it realistically, the flaps are raised anyway.(Sorry Chris! ).Unlike the P51 ponies, the arrangement on the flaps on a Spit,do not allow natural hydraulic drainage,as far as I'm aware.

Thank you all for your comments . The place where I have my bench is not pleasant at this time of year. I have done little and what I do is a improvised work bench in the kitchen. Take the material in a wooden plate and end it all back to the place of origin. A little boring. I cut and prepared some pieces, I gluing and little else. Yesterday, as a bit fed up of having no advances decided to paint what was already glued. I glued and sanded the engine cowling. For now is all. Best regards ajcmac

I love desert schemes so I am going to be watching this one closely. I really want to grab this kit..I've got the "Late" but I feel myself not being too drawn to 48th anymore....

Thanks bullardino, deafpanzer and wbill76 . The cold continues, step little time on the bench, this is moving very slowly. To glue the wings painted the wells of the landing gear. Also painted the doors of the landing gear... rear landing gear... and covers filters. Regards ajcmac

bullardinoThanks . Some weathering on the parts already painted. Wells and landing gear doors and rear set of landing. I painted the propellers and exhaust. I'm finishing gluing the wings and fuselage to start painting the model. And, for now, is all. Best regards ajcmac

All ready to start painting. Fittings are perfect. I simply sand the joints to undo the glue marks on both wings as the fuselage. The only draw point is the cowling of the engine. The Eduard could avoid the problem and have done the upper cowling in one piece. Regards ajcmac
