Thank you my Friends, glad you are having fun like me. Got some supplies in the mail, some various Evergreen stuff, two 6" LED strips and two Alcad flavors, chrome and magnesium. Got a can of primer from Lowes, ready for the next steps Gordon - Gag is showing off his engineering background here - everything he does serves several purposes...the minimum number of pieces required to achieve a purpose and the use of the simplest methods and shapes required to achieve the same end. The nose is the prime example - sure he could have cut and shaped individual profiles but it would have served no useful purpose and taken 3-4 times as long. This is also why us scratcherists don't throw away offcuts...they are perfectly good for producing strengtheners, webs and gussets (great word eh?) Thanks Very Muchly Dicky me old Cock-sparra, You give me waaaaaaaay too much credit, I'm just friggin lazy But seriously, the only thing I was concerned with was that the bottom edge was square, so when the bottom was attached, you guessed it, it would be square to the central brace. The two sides were similar but it was about having the same 'toe-in' angle on both sides, the height can always be trimmed, even the top profile can be altered with a bit of sanding. Sometimes it's better to make it bigger because its easy to remove material than add it. Always better to have to much than not enough. Thanks again for your interest and taking the time to comment Gag

My Social modelling buddies, Thank you so much for stopping by my friends, it really does mean a lot that you stop by to say hi, thanks Making very slow progress but I know that this section defines the main profile, so it has to be right, Any hooooooooooozzzzzz your father, Luke We have pic's people, Glued the tank hull to the ship hull, Fixed it to me snout just to see, Cut out the 'Tea tray", Some Chamfer action, Fitted with rod to hide the join and aid filling the radius Bottom, oh err misses........ ;D Pinch and glue the nose, to be filled and sanded later Your basic dry fit to test stuff A coat hanger for the bottom profile, ...............maybe. Marked, Drilled, Screwed, Another dry fit, back, Plan Side Alot of jiggery-pocker at the moment, still trying to fix the proportions, from seeing these pictures it's too thick, just like me. ;D Adjustments required, Next time, Take care Gag

Afternoon everyone, Thanks for stopping by, Got to get ready to go out to dinner so it's gunna be fast, Still thought it looked thick after this mock up, Decided that the underside shape needed to be finalized and thought the tea tray was to big, so i removed it. Maked and cut some sheet First glued the parts on the tank hull Cleaned the nose sides then glued the front flat to the nose Then the sides And along the hull line New profile without tea tray Cleaned up Filled ready to be sanded That's it for today Take care Gag

Ello Folks, Thank you all so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, it really means a lot. Dicky mentioned about the original concept art, well, here are some other concept pieces i'm using for inspiration, this might explain my direction more. Its a little bit of everything including inspiration from drag boat designes with their safety tub concept. Been at the bench since 10:30 am, got quite a lot done today. Sava look then. Sanded back the red filler in the week and gave it another smear with the squadron putty, Aluninium foil and double sided tap. Cut a hole in the detergent cap, Soldered and installed 6" of white LED tape, Hooked up to a 9V battery Then started to blend the inner structure piece to the engine cover, Punched some holes, Then it was back to the main profile, first i finalised the width with spacers, Got creative with my heat gun and a clamp, to even up the plan view of the nose section Cut notches in the sides of the tub Dry fit everything together, After much fiddling about with the profile and the final position of the cockpit tub, did a mock up with cardboard and tape and the windscreen blank in position and the top intake. Front, [/img] Top, Side, 3/4 It's still very rough but I'm getting there, It looks a bit too 'A" wingy to me. so i'll have to try again. What do you guy's think of the profile? Till next time, Take care Gag

Need to build 80 kits per year until I'm 100 to deplete my stash. Maybe I should sell a couple.

I agree with Dicky, the scoop should sit a little lower to streamline the profile. Anyway, it's such a fantastic job I'm astonished... And, btw, it doesn't look too similar to the A wing.
