Hey All I spent most of the day clearing off the bench after over a year of just building. When I worked my way to the back side I moved a pile of paper towel sheets and lo and behold look what was underneath. It been about 17months since it last saw the light of day and I sure hope the paint is dry enough to continue working on it. As soon as it stops raining (just shy of 4inches the last two days) it will get a coat of Future. Later folks Tony lee

I've discovered the best way to deal with a 17 months gap is to not know it was ever started in the 1st place. Looks great.

I think that lends a new definition to bench clutter if you can move stuff and find an entire built and painted kit hiding in the corner Tony! I wondered what happened to this one...it's been very patient. Looking forward to seeing it get the finish it deserves.

Yeah as soon as I saw it I said to myself, Self where did that come from?
It was pretty bad Tex. I was going to take a picture before I started but was too embarassing to post it.

OH OH OH BTW I found an unopened box on the floor behind a storage rack in the corner from Sprue Bros dated March 2 2011. This is what was in the box: I've got one in the stash already so i'm thinking i'll covert it to a Munitionwagen someday to go with the above... Unopened box from Spruebros? That takes some discipline right there! Best part about a 17 month layoff? The kit doesn't care one bit.

My friend I guess it fell off the back of the shelf, March 2 2011 is some time ago.
Your right about the kit not caring just so long as it gets built.
Thanks Tony lee

Don't feel bad... from what I can remember you were being hit by 100 years old snow storm so you probably had to use model kits to shut out the cold drafts, right?

I blew this thing apart to check the interior for missing items. All parts present and accounted for so the upper and lower hulls were glued together and the items left off until the hulls were joined were placed. While the glue cured the tools were cleaned up and the base coat of color applied, these will be allowed to dry overnight. Coffee Break: The muffler needs working up next. NOTE: If you build this kit install the muffler after the hull is together and not when the directions tell you to do it. Later People Tony lee
