Makes you wonder what else you might find under the floor boards Tony! Nice find and progress on your shelf-queen.

I wouldn't call it a shelf queen Bill because it was still on the bench. Update: Left off parts installed, tools and muffler painted. OOooops, forgot the ax. Shop closed till Monday Uncle Tony

It's Monday, shop is open Used a large makeup brush to dust it off. Mig recommends a light coat of clear satin before applying the filter so that was done. Allowing that to dry for awhile and then the filter will be applied. Only a thin coat of filter because I don't want it to have an over powering blue cast. Back later with the results Uncle Tony

Filter Update One coat of Filter suits me, that stuff is strong. I applied the filter with a damp NOT wet flat brush. What do you think? Tony lee

Always love those 'unidentified unit' options! Sometimes they are real/photo based, sometimes pure imagination! Looking good Uncle T, let the weathering fun commence.

Yeah those unknown units do come in handy Tex. I couldn't remember why I painted this panzer grey because the instruction sheet didn't show a grey scheme. While searching the net I came across a RL photo of a grey one subtitled eastern front so I guess that's what I had in mind to be different. The "Coal Thief" has been done to death and I didn't want to do another, btw i've got the DML kit of that one too. Same sprues as the older kit i'm building but this one has different decals and the box for the right side fender. It's getting down to the short rows as they say down south alright Need to get started so later folks Tony lee

Thanks DP, I may have screwed it up today though. Update Weathering: Not real crazy with the European Dirt and Dust. I guess it is what it is. Your opinions matter. Speak now or forever hold your peace. Tony lee

I like your dirt a dust effects on the panzergrey. Maybe add some lighter tones for variety.

"Speak now or forever hold your peace." At my age I'm lucky if I can hold it for more than a few hours, even that can feel like forever...oops, sorry just realised you said 'peace' - looks like I need new glasses too Agree with the guys - a bit more tonal variety, maybe some moisture (Wilder Murky Water)?

Looks like you're headed in the right direction Tony! Gray is 'something different' and you're right about the Coal Thief being a widely popular scheme. That's often the trouble with some 'iconic' photos...they become mundane when everyone does them!

Bravo! In the beginning, it seemed to me that the gray color is too dark. But dust is added contrast and bright colors. Excellent model - congratulations!

Thanks Serzh, I've seen some photos where the Panzer grey looked almost black it was so dark. I knew the weathering would lighten it up from research photos.
Thanks Again Tony lee
