Ok chaps, been away from shiny things way too long so I'm back with what has to be one of the coolest car kits around. 3 in 1 so lots of options although I want to source different wheels. Colour yet to be decided. This is part 1 of a 2 vehicle build, heavens knows when the other part will roll along.

Chaps.
Hi Boots, something about this kit, it's one of their best I reckon, welcome.
Hey Moose, yup, lovely lines...
Dicky, don't fret about the Bradley, that is still priority, this is an itch I just gotta scratch and will wander along as and when the urge takes me. Defo not doing box art, colour and wheels to be decided as is interior colour, think I will paint the engine an orangey yellow but beyond that, the plan is still forming.

I'll behave, promise The wheels I want are one of the options in Revell's Chevy Bel Air kit, it means buying another kit just to get them if I decide to go that route. The Chevy isn't a bad kit so I might invest...

Aaah gotchya bud........i changed the ones on my Chevy for some AM ones, the originals were for the town version rather than the race car......they were miles to thin with weedy tyres on them , the ones i got were much deeper in the rim which made them a lot wider...,just have to watch it as they tuck under the arches tho.....had to do a bit of alteration to get them to fit!!! These were the ones i used... Not suitable for yours i wouldn`t imagine

Chaps.
Hey Leon, welcome buddy, pull up a chair.
Jeff, wouldn't be the same without you, welcome. Gotta admit the lines on a Merc are truly classic, only question is how low can ya go!
Boots, yep, wheels, hmm, liking yours.... a lot, obviously not wholly appropriate for my needs, where did you get them?
Ok, pondering colours at present, working on a short list and will post options for your consideration.

Cheers Boots, no panic, just wondered what other wheels / tyres they might stock.
Dicky, two tone hadn't occurred to me, it's certainly a possibility. Need to study the bodywork, see how easy it will be to line and mask.

Taken a look a her body and I'm not sure where to split the colours, this may not be as easy as I first thought! Can't seem to find a pic of a two colour one, will keep hunting.
Boots, thats it, great little seller he is, thanks buddy.

Beautiful pics Jeff, thank you muchly, loads of inspiration there.
Only teeny prob is the kit doesn't have those lovely chrome moldings to provide a demarcation point and that is where I will struggle. I will pop a pic of the bod up tomorrow so you can see what I'm getting at.
Dicky, two tone ya reckon? Masking has never been my strong point but I can try....

Ya could go with just doing the roof one colour and the lower another......you`ll have more of a natural masking line possibly.......or even Roof, Bonnet/hood and boot/tailgate one colour and the body another.. Am i helping

See, this is the thing I like about a Lead Sleds. You can do whatever the ferk ya want. I was thinking if the body doesn't have the moldings, is you could pick a third color and use that to separate the main colors. Course if you painted it like this.............................................. You wouldn't have to worry about it
