Sure is a pleasure to watch this build! Amazing technique. Much different than I've seen, but Wow, what results!

Much , much , much appreciated gents ! I don't know whats different about my technique but since I build alone and don't have any other guidance other than what I have picked up here and there and mostly developed into my own method with the supplies on hand and developed after the critique I get from you guys ...... well if you and I like the results then that's good nuff for me ! Thanks !!!

Doesn't matter how you get there Carl, the results are always a treat! Drybrushing adds some very nice depth to this one.

As always I am very appreciative of the comments guys ! Don't be shocked by the color change . I didn't like the yellow tint that has been showing in the previous pics so I sat down and spent some mono on mono time with my camera . I pushed some of her previously un-pushed buttons and she responded with some secrets that I hadn't known before . Anyway , after that touching session with her she gave me this picture . Its a heck of a lot closer to the true shade of Israeli sand / gray on the model . Oh , I used some mig pigments and chalks for the effects .

Nice improvement Carl. Camera's are funny things aren't they. I've been struggling with my photos for awhile now.

I seem to struggle with them every time Jeff . The results just don't look like the true color is the main problem . I think its these led lights I'm using now . Nice lights for sure but there isn't a light setting for them on my camera .

Changing my light source made the biggest improvement in my pics. I got some "natural light" bulbs at Wally World and the change was unbelievable

I think I can see the driver down in there! Even the reflections from the periscope glass! Now that's detail!

Thanks for your great comments guys . It seems like on every project I need to go thru the light balance setting again . Which does makes sense when I remember that I went from mostly gray model to a mostly sand color model . This color seems to be especially sensitive to my led lighting . They seem to wash out the pic with brightness . The last pics did come out better but there was still some editing I did on them . I'll look into some daylight florescent lighting per Jeffs suggestion . Have a good Monday !

I always re-calibrate the WB with every build...and usually again when I shift from bare plastic to painted surfaces even though the lighting and everything else remains 'unchanged' in my photo-booth setup.
