Well, for those who have followed this build, today marked a major milestone...................
The first of the individual resin track-links came out of the molds...... They aren't too shabby. they will need some work as you'll see in the proceeding picture. BUT The wheel and track process has begun.......... let the cursing and swearing begin... I figure as those who have done so will attest, this is gonna be like Panzer IV road wheels and track-links times, oh I don't know say 50... but every journey begins with a single step..................Yeah right LOL

Looks like the resin casting is a success...now the tedious process of casting and assembling is ahead of you. A necessary evil.

Nice! Do you connect them with rods or just glue them together?

Here are a couple of better sots.... No there won't be two of the same type of wheel on each torsion bar, by that there is on with a raised stem, (pictured) and another that has a flatter stem. And yes that's mud on the wheel....

Here are a couple of shots of the "proof of concept" for the groundwork.
I'm old school so I'm using celluclay, mixed with pencil shavings and white glue. The concept is rolling terrain made from Celluclay and balsa wood. Then grass tuffs or is it tufts () anywho.......... are inserted into pre-drilled holes. So here is a test shot of my proof of concept........................

I probably should put these in the figure section, BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, this figure goes with the Ferdinand. Included is a sketch or drawing of the layout. Just because I have HAHA I've drawn every aspect of this project...............

The figure is a slight variation of a figure depicted in the Osprey Axis Eastern Front Allies.
